Seeing how the G702 is QuadBand GSM with HSDPA on 2100, what are the chances that Paris will be Triband HSDPA?

Given what Eldar has said about Paris, I'd say theres not a huge chance of it. He seems to be trying to say Paris is not aimed at mass-market as much as the G700/G900 and that its not heavy on spec. So going by this, I'd say it probably won't be aimed at the US.
BTW, 9 more posts to the 10000 mark...

it is my opinion and only that, but SE earnestly believes that there is no need for an all in one uberdevice. part of why they are failing.
it doesnt exist, they will continue to massacre the market losing out on revenue cutting up features forcing consumers to choose/prioritize features instead of giving us who are willing to pay for it the whole package as an option ...
if i had the resources id go pull their heads out of their collective asses. its the single most annoying thing for a company to assume what the consumer wants, and this is illustrated for them in the most colorful/hurtful way for them in the DROP in their revenue by 48% ... it amazes me how they cant take the hint even when they loose out on that much money.

paris is a _joke_, and will be the G902 ... no more P and apparently no one has or has seen shiho ... 208mhz when the iPhone is 628mhz or so ... LAST YEAR, seriously this is OUTRAGEOUS. Fck PK for lying for 7/8 months.
edit: someone MAY have the new cybershot ... regardless its more of a secret than G902(Paris)
whomever said QVGA is a good thing needs to leave 2006, its not a future feature ... look this does not bode well. but hope is not lost, i will wait till sept to see what SE has outlined, the near term is NOT the end ... they will get their act together and hopefully by CAsia i will have to scrape my jaw off the ground.

Ah no, Angello (beta-tester) and maybe m-one have seen Shiho I think. I remember them saying it is similar to the Viewty, but its a slider. And they were saying this in a way that suggested they had seen it.
I agree that Paris is turning out pretty average sounding, but I do believe SE has a trick up their sleeve in the form of a super high-end phone. When we will see this though, who knows?

I'd really like to hear from m-one or pk or doministry and their response to the latest on paris. Currently i guess x1 is the flagship. I really hope se will pull something out of their ass and wow the world with a super secret device that was only tested in house by those sworn to secrecy by penalty of death! Few more weeks til judgment day |

I think that X1 will be the "big mass-market" phone. The only thing I don't really like is the fact that it looks too Windows Mobile, or at least at the moment. On top of the Xperia Panels, I wish they also had the UIQ "panels as Sony Ericsson calls it" or something like TouchFlo 3D in HTC. Get rid of the Windows Mobile look, and I will really like =) 3.2 Megapixels is a little disappointing for a flagship phone as well as the flash, but I can handle that. At least the interface is similar to the G900 one. Does anyone know if X1 has touch-auto focus?

it is MORE than abundantly clear that the X1 is an HTC phone and not even better than the diamond so it would be best to NOT mention it in the SE rumors thread, it is already announced and already outshined . . . horribly ugly phone. |

It does indeed have touch auto-focus, along with nice camera interface and respectable media players designed by Sony Ericsson. They are taking care to make this a good phone, media-wise. There was a screen shot of the touch focus in the bengal-boy review.

I still don't understand the hype about the diamond? When it was announced, the only thing that impressed me was the 192mb RAM... Which is irrelevant now that the X1 has 256mb RAM.
Please, why do people keep talking so glowingly about the diamond?

Diamond lacks full QWERTY keyboard, optical joystick, and camera flash, all features that the X1 has. Why is it so obvious that the Diamond beats the X1?
