Just sort the threads with newest post on top. I'm always on page 1.
(Most of the links you guys provide within Esato won't work that way, though. ) |

The article bider linked now in English version: http://www.mobile-review.com/articles/2008/se-paris-en.shtml
Seems like getting the G900 was the better choice. 400€ is a nice price for Paris, but the phone itself... I would not consider it. |

xell, cant see why is that - if Paris has gps, qwerty keyboard, uiq 3.3 and opera 9.5 for just more 50 euros that the g900, its a much better option, unless you really need a smaller phone |

So with this article by eldar it is basically confirmed that paris won't be a flagship. So everyone here who supposedly had inside info on paris saying we're crazy to think paris would be old hardware, what do you have to say? I'm curious. I really want to believe you guys cause i want a highend uiq phone but this article doesn't make things look good |

I really need a smaller phone. Yes, that's the main reason. (and I do not need GPS)
The photo stills from the video also had a more expensive look to it than the proto shots. I like the G900 exterior more. I'm not into glossy phones, and the soft plastic is more my weapon of choice.
UIQ 3.3 and especially Opera 9.5 are certainly a big plus if Paris has them - but up till now, it seems like it does not.
That leaves the QWERT(Y/Z) keypad. And I don't need that, too.
I said I would not consider it. But I'm the last to say others which phones they should or should not get. I don't like this whole "My phone is better than yours " speech, these "This manufacturer is superior, that one just can't deliver". I'm user since T610/K700, but I don't mind buying another brand if it fits my needs better. But, and I think this is the point where I can say I'm objective, I would also say for this particular phone which would not be a that it is just my personal choice. If one needs GPS + 5MP, buy Paris, buy N95, what fits the person best.
Sorry, long text. But I had to make a point. |
