ATTENTION
Guyz never try to upload customize_upgrade.xml, coz it will never let u change ur CDA. All it does is disabling the firmware reinstalling(reflashing) option on SEUS.
Your wrong ive done that on 2 K850i's & i was able to use SEUS to debrand them.
No, im not wrong. I tried that trick but it disabled the reinstalling option.
Though i've changed my CDA from C-Asia to S-Asia-levan, but not with the help of that trick.
In order to do that u need not to upload customize_upgrade.xml, u just have to delete some security files and replacing the original customize.xml by any other customize.xml with required CDA.

buntoo,
what is your FW version for your k850?
What is the CDA value you are using to change it to S-Asia-levan?

It's because your doing it all wrong. When you upload the file customize_upgrade.xml, You need to also delete these 2 files cust_menu_data.dat & cust_menu_done_unpacking.dat in this dir TPA\\PRESET\\SYSTEM\\CUSTMENU. After that then you power on your phone, wait till it's fully powered up it could take up to a minute, then shut down & now update using SEUS. |

I dont think i did anything wrong while uploading that customize_upgrade.xml anyhow I'd already done it with some other trick. Thanks anyway.

Mine was branded to a company here in CO with the 037 FW; and by this method I debranded and updated just by using the correct CDA.
Now its FW is R1FA035
Cheers!

I search all over the net and found out less and less discussion on BROD issue.
Can anyone update me about how the BROD issue now? Is it solved by SE latest firmware? Thanks in advances. |

A SUES re-flash will fix it now. |

Will it permanently fix k850i for any possibility of BROD?

No, but it SUES puts a viable solution in your hands at your disposal without requiring shipping your phone to a repair center |

yes i think so. A K850i fully reflashed with SEUS has no chance to get BROD issue. BROD happend in the past to those only who just updated (didn't reflash) to a newer firmware from some older one via SEUS.

Thanks a lot. I hope what you said is true. Although my K850i did not give me any trouble and BROD, my friend advice me to changes this mobile phone due to the issues he having on his K850i. |

1)The BROD still affects 035 no matter how you installed it. It is however, less prevalent than in prior revisions.
2) Re-flashing with the older versions of SEUS was still a full system flash, not as you imply, a patch.
