I just removed the sound files for shutter setting 4 and the focus sound.
Ah, nice.
What are the files called:)?

/tpa/preset/system/sound/

The file names are pretty self explanitory (eg. camerashutter4.3gp)

Where is the main XML setting file located?

On my K750 I tried changing the option there to allow the camera sounds to be turned off in silent mode but from memory it didn't work. had to remove the sound files as well.

As posted before, it's in tpa/preset/custom/customize.xml

theoretically yes. something like changing "scream.3gp" to "camshutter.3gp", hehehe...

By the way, I wanna ask any talented dude out there who can mod camdrivers - here's my question:

I want to set my xenon flash to off everytime I open my camera, instead of automatic on. What part of camdriver0.dat should I change to make it possible?

Thank you in advance!

@ Duran

here is the custpack (custompac) for K850i S_Asia_Levan., you will find the customize.xml file inside the rar and u need only to edit the CDA number in the customize.xml.

Download Here

@buntoo,

I want the xenon off at start-up rather than auto because;

1. It is faster to take a photo after start-up that way (lesser loading time, since I don't use the flash all the time)

2. I always take pictures during the day with strong light (It is the best condition to take a photo btw)

3. I hate it when I take an impromptu shot, knowing later that the flash ruined it via overexposure, etc.

4. Even at twilight (e.g. inside the living room semi-lit around 7 am or 5 pm) when I use auto with flash on, pictures tend to look like it is taken during the night, unless when you take the flash off which I do all the time, and it's kinda annoying doing that from time to time.

Plenty of reason I found out over a year of using SE phones, weheheh...

Yeah we really need an option to
1) Force the xenon-flash on
2) Force the LED-flash on

Is this possible?

@sniper_supra sorry i didn't read ur post clearly, you want ur flash off each time u turn on ur camera. I think this is already in settings, Three options for flash 1: Automatic, 2: Red Eye & 3: Off. set it to off, and now it will reamain off until you manually change it.

@Duran
Did you manage to turn off your camera sound in the silent mode? [addsig]

hell yeah.
I was so excited about modifications I forgot that it can already do that. haha.
Just figured it all out again some time ago.
Thanks dude!

Oh wait a sec, I remember now the thing I want.
What happens when you restart your phone is that it turns the xenon flash again.
So, what I really want is that the default xenon setting is off instead of on.
