well, i guess we will see in about 1,5 years time how right he really was
if this is actually true, i don't think that alot of people are going to stay with them ... especially in a time where apple is expected to release a hole range of iphones... |

Yeah, that the way and it is actually quite comfortably if you are using your jeans's pocket. I don't know why people hate side fast ports so much.
I don't think it's comfortable I have a pouch to protect my phone and have to take it out if I want to listen to music.
I read somewhere that lefthanded people also do have problems with writing messages with the fastport connector!
Yeah, maybe you can work around all these things and less people actually care about these things as those who don't, but I don't think it is in SE's interest to keep on putting the fastport on the side.
Another thing is not putting a 3.5mm on there phones, whereas other companies do and eventually people find out and I guess have desire to use their own choice headphones or at least be able to easily exchange them if their should be a problem with those delivered.
Very few people actually know about the fastport to 3.5mm connector, or can find it in a shop and the one like it comes with W910 is about 1m itself, so with custom headphones you need to deal with about 2m of cable, which would be another unnessary thing which won't kill you but it could be so much easier.
I am think that changes in that regard can only be positiv, and I don't understand why people keep on bashing those who don't have there personal SE shrine at home and actually dare thinking that something SE does isn't that great after all !

I hope SE doesn't go down the toilet.....I really like their phones, especially their UI and really don't want to give that up by switching to another brand. Hopefully all of this is BS and SE will surprise us with some awesome high-end stuff in the near future. |

Eldar being an informed SE insider raises some good points. However, he writes his opinion about what he knows. As informed as he may be, there may be lots of information that he has no clue about.
It seems that SE is being extra secretive this year with their products. I think that's a good sign. Right now SE is under new management and have a new strategy i'm sure. Maybe they're sacrificing a year or two to gain market share and brand awareness so that they can maximize profits? they need money for R&D.
I am surprised that Sony does not support SE more with their vast resources. I for one have faith in SE. They may be a bit down in the dumps here and there but they will pull through in the end and show us the company that defined mobile innovation! |

Ditto, but I doubt it.
*sigh* One day I may have to switch to *shivers* ...Nokia and their ugly UI and phones. |

if i had to switch, i'd rather go to HTC than nokia. Nokia's UI is horrific! SE's UI is so intuitive. Battery life and overall build quality is always good, at least in my experience.
If my phone can survive being dropped on a go-kart track and probably hit/run over a few times and still work like normal with zero scratches on the screen... i am a happy camper (happened to my k700).

Yeah I really don't wanna switch SE has an awesome UI. Still with my old W800 hehe but I'm interested to see what shiho and paris has to offer before considering switching. Didn't prudent say that shiho is "one of the most interesting" devices? |

Does UIQ 3.3 have the on screen qwerty keyboard like UIQ 3 has for eg. p990 M600, W950 ? ?
I would say paris is definitely a G-series phone

@ famous12
There is already a thread to the i900.
If you're interested here is the link.

And for the keyboard I'm pretty sure that it has it, there wouldn't be any reason to leave it out on the 3.3 version.
Paris being a G-series device could be true. If it is then it would be the end of the P-series. |
