A200 seems to be a good great platform...
The only problem in A200 is BROD and W910 is not affected by that proble,...

I can't see SE releasing new firmware for the k850i anymore. The C902 has been receiving updates once a month and even though with a larger userbase, the k850i is a failed project for se which needs to be or has been dumped.
Personally, I'm waiting for XS++ support. I will even gladly donate. |

But still I'd keep this thing versus my old k750.

well here i am after months...
this is what i want to tell
whoever got k850 ( this includes me ) are FOOLS !!!!
at least that's the way SE see`s us..
they release one under developed , mal designed phone and we like idiots buy it as soon as it hit the store without even knowing how it performs..
now look at us .. BEGGING SE to release a firmware to fix nearly hundreds of problem they created...
it lost all hopes .. they wont release... planning to leave SE and move to something like HTC , O2 , or even to the rival Nokia...
recently i had a chance to operate communicator.. and to say its really very fast.... gone are the days we complain that nokia is slow and SE is fast.. time has changed , now SE is the one which has got loads of Sh^^ in them....
and many here said there will be R3 ..firmware something.... nothing !!! simply NOTHING !!!!!
now i am stuck with a phone which cant a good photo for the amount i paid, it really cant take a photo at night without over flash... and some here suggest me to change that , this to take a photo with min effect of EVER FLASH.... WTH ??? the sensors suck to the core... and i had to clean them nearly every two days to keep it clean so that the sensor doesn't come to a conclusion that i am in a dark room and starts over power the flash F... You..
Wht can we do as a customer ??? nothing...!!!
atleast i think we can post a online petition and many users from this forum can sign in ...
http://www.petitiononline.com/
please anyone can write a good petition can help ,,,
also does anyone have a clear knowledge on when the next firmware will get release...

Amen to that. Im using C902 (K850 is in the drawer for now) and in the last 2 months there have been 2 updates. I fear K850 is history in terms or support from SE. Its probably cost them enough already. When XS++ is released (I too will gladly donate) then K850 might be resurrected from retirement and customized to the max! Untill then though, Im forgetting about it. Basically just keeping it dry for a rainy day.

Well, I got what I want with this phone and mine is working well, so I guess I'm not a FOOL like what you've been trying to say.
All I want is an upgrade. Nothing more.

That's why I will not buy the C905 but the G705 that seems more stable because no ''super'' camera inside!

yes .. vegetabl///
here after i am not going to choose a phone .. since becoz the corporate companies say so..
i will atleast wait for 3-4 months after the launch.. discuss with members who have bought the phone and then decide whether to buy or not...
but k850 is one which i liked the most for its design ....
i was expecting a powerful proccy.. i dont care about the battery life though... i need the system to be fast...
and more ram./ not just 1 MB ram for the all java app.... thats SH(t
anyway on topic again...
when will they launch the next firmy ...
whee are the inside guys ...?? any hint from anyone ////
when is that soo called , most hyped... feature rich R3 ???
its going to be a whole 1 year gone by guys .. if we dont act... they are going to think we are dumb people who take whtever they through at us... |

Personaly i prefer my K850 over C902. The design of the K850 is so techy, futuristic, compact and pockectable. The whole phone is just so well balanced, its screen is a beautiful and a nice size (not big, but not small either). I love its dpad, its different, in a good way, makes other phones look boring and ordinary. Mine is pretty stable and enjoyable to use. Hopefully we do get a new fw update, i dont want a boring C902.

Amen to that. The d-pad was very appealing to me.
The c902 design looks so ordinary, and the screen is smaller too.
This coming November I will go to an SE shop and I will have my casing/cover replaced with the black-blue-silver one, but with a twist - i will ask the technicians to keep the green lining at the side.
How cool is that?
If there's nothing I can do with the firmware (but maybe soon there is), at least i can modify the outside.
Besides, I'm skipping over the C905 and expect its successor. |

I totally agree with you . The k850 is good ! I like touchpad , its so cool and fast to use , you dont need to push something just gently slide your finger ... The first firmwares was slow , but new ones is faster and I m still waitting for a new one to fix last few bugs ... |

I would like just one more update. Recently I experienced some random restarts (with R1FA035) when I browse the net or use the media player, and this restarts occur more and more often, so I think BROD is close in. So I would feel more comfortable, if in a next firmware (if there will be a new one) wouldn't have the threat of BROD, and it would be more stable. AND I wish the camera to make photos with more natural (red) colours, and at least little more sharpness.
Anyway I like this phone, it looks great, it has a special design, and I like the touch buttons too. BUT without an update I will buy a C905 (wich is, nearly perfect, but it is a slider and it's heavy), or a "Kate" (wich probably will have no GPS and no video call camera -sadly, but I hope the image processing and sensor will be like the C905's).

Just updating my firmware to the latest one. If this doesn't fix the bugs then I'm definitely getting rid of this rubbish phone and buying a Nokia 6300 |

If you feel that a BROD is eminent or that your phone seems less stable, backup your data and perform a re-flash of the current firmware which should warn you of the loss of data and should be a full re-flash. Chances are that doing so will help solve your problem.
All of us here wish for one last firmware with maybe a bit more speed/stability and a few more tweaks to the camera (R3xxxx?) but chances are very slim that SE is even paying attention to the K850 users any more. |
