1) Not quite.
2) Most people don't even care.

1 pretty many, yes

2 most people do actually care.

1) No, not when you consider that Esato - and all these sites that make a big deal out of something so small as a connector - is not even 1% of SE's market.
2) Most people don't even realise that their phone could have had a Micro USB or a 3.5mm jack, or even know what those are!

Im sure given the choice most would like to use their own headphones so yes of course people would prefer a 3.5mm jack. Its still backward thinking like that what has put SE in the corner which they are stuck in. Keep saying these things over to yourself. Will you still say them when SE turns into another Moto? lol

Hi all

Actually NightBlade is 100% correct no blind and loyal SE fan boy cares about a 3.5m jack and won't until SE have it and then all of a sudden it will be just brilliant and of course SE thought of it first and does it best.

Same goes for micro SDHC that has great storage and at a reasonable price and can be moved between many devices and computers. But then of course SE has already started to embrace this with the K850 having both it and M2 capabilities. Not forgetting that this will also be in the X1 but then it's not unique to Sony and SE so must of course be inferior, just what were we thinking.

Calm down mate, of course I'd rather my phone had a 3.5mm jack and used the same memory card as everything else,  it doesn't and it isn't a showstopper.  The original point was that "most people" want a headphone jack and I think the sale figures will show you that most people don't care.

As for the memory card format, the three cameras in this house use three different card formats, none of which is sdhc.  And the two sd devices here, a blaupunkt stereo and a nokia phone dont support hc.
There are too many memory card formats, roll on next year when all new phones will have a common meomory card and usb connector.

But if the phone works with Micro USB and 3.5mm jack, or even only micro USB, all people that buy the phone (knowing about the connection or not) will be happier at the end.

Because fastport is ugly and does break down quickly.

So it is better to have not an fastport certainly

Well, corrected then.

Check out the black area around the display. If it was in fact a single device that slides both up and down, the area would be the same, but it's not.

its the same. omg now i see it. check the upper speaker which is a slim silver line. on the first which has the big silver think underneath, has shade on its buttons meaning that the black thing (screen) is thick and producing shadeon buttons. and on second pic it's slided down revealing the videocall camera, but i don't get it's purpose.
and i think that keyboard might be full visual on screen.
(sorry for bad english , hope you got me:))

So you now arguing about weather an SE phone has a 3.5mm jack or micro USB? Seriously guy's, get out a LOT more and find a life. I know news is thin on the ground hence the total hijack of the thread but gees, want to use normal phones then get an adapter, oh wait I forgot Nokia let you use normal phones so SE are crap, again! Obviously.

And my fastport on my K750, P990 and P1i have worked flawlessly. aaahhhhh, I'm allowing myself to get drawn into a stupid discussion.

The device shown in the video is just one.
Similarities are too obvious to think of two different devices
I wouldn't fix on the device shown in the video cos it most likely will be just
a concept or draft. Possible that the final solution will look the same but who knows

m-one, do you know if SE are still on tack with the G900 release date? Also is Paris still rumoured to have AGPS?
