Well, the k850's half bad - yes it is. But its not entirely bad IMHO. Just tried LCARSD's Phonequake animations

I really like the fade in animation.

Just had a tour last Thursday. Took some photos, and a little too much shake made my photos too blurred and useless. I even had a better photo with the auto-focus off. And the XENON flash is useless if subject is very far or when the background is not too dim/not too lit.
Out of 100 photos, I'd say I rejected 30 of them.
So in my opinion this phone should have had;
a. better/faster processor
b. better/bigger lens
c. better xenon
d. better battery to support a, b, and c
I'm not totally down coz of my K850i (Half down to be specific), but I hope my next cyber-shot phone is way better than this one.

Set the camera to Twilight Portrait if you wan't to use xenon on distant objects |

oh, yeah. I just tried that earlier. I guess I was just too lazy to set things up at auto alone. Well, its too late for me now.

my phone wont turn on :S k850i
took the battery out to change the sim card
and tried turning it back on... shows the lights on the keypad and the ring at the back but just wonr turn on :S
tried reflashing but doesnt connect to the computer...
any ideas?
any help will be goood thanks 
ohh and is the samsung omnia worth buying? |

Your phone has BROD.
Run PC suite and reflash your phone. If your CDA is supported, SUES will reflash it for free. But if it is not supported u need to reflash it via davinci or KK client but u have to pay with a credit card. My K850 is dead too but i dont have a credit card to buy credits so am just waiting for sues to support my CDA.

i dont think its brod because the lights dont stays on they go off straight away but my phone doesnt carry on starting up... ive had brod before and have it relfashed since using davinci but this time i dont think it is because it wont connect to my computer and the lights dont stay on...

Im having the same problem as above I SOOO TEMPTED to use davinci =(
I recently saw a w11 y08 k850 its completely remade w/ an extra ring on lens of the camera and no booting studders

Funny how the so called "BROD-free" fw added NOTHING at all, seeing BRODs are still common.

Both are the same. 035 is for unbranded generic, 036 is for 3 Hutch-branded phone. |

Not sure if DaVinci supports this but you can try connecting the phone while holding the 2 and 5 keys instead of the C key. I have had to do this on my phone when normal methods failed but that was using SETool. Still worth a try I suppose. |
