No offense but that video is so terrible! I can believe its 2 years old just because it doesn't follow any of SE's recent or current design styles, its poor quality (maybe uploader's fault), and the acting is terrible. That guy with long hair looks really odd and when he 'holds' the screen he doesn't keep his hands still, ruining the effect.

Nice devices, horrible video.

i don't think it's an old video. here's proof:

on 0:47 of the video, you can see a projection of a cartoon penguin. Obviously it's that of "Surf's Up" - a movie released just last year. So I think this one's pretty recent.

unfortunately, the device doesn't look very delicious.

Obviously that guy is a drug addict

I also think it's not 2years old. They just said so to make us believe that no idea is copied from iPhone. LOL!

If this device will be launched this year and if it's UIQ then processor will be 208mhz at best! There4 i suspect it's WM

that movie was shown only recently at a press event or meeting or what ever it was, so its almost definate something we are yet to see/know about.... yes it may be 2 yrs old, so what? most likely its been in development for that time......

if it was the X1, why would they show it an event which just happend, in older development stages? .... they would have shown the x1's current form if it were it.

Maybe i'll still buy Paris but in one condition: the price should be as cheap as its specs!

From the screenshots, we see that the phone is a triband (OH NO). I just noticed that there is no UIQ sony ericsson phone that is quaband. hopefully that isn't because of software limitations - hope that trend comes to an end too.

I'm worried with Sony Ericsson International now. Please Sony Ericsson japan, let out a nice 906i phone complete with WiFi [I doubt that]. Please hackers, hack into the phone asap.

well nothing, I think BoyBawang didn't know that the guy talking is talking about old prototype, PK, m-one, beta-tester & others mentioned theres several prototypes with the first ones has QVGA display and other non-completed stuff

BTW, BoyBawang : do you think - as a good user - that will launch a phone that make you do some annoying things like the thing that guy said about GPS Enabling thing ?
If you do, I and several guys around here ( including PK ) don't think so

Again, some people are getting so fixated on the idea of one phone that they fail to see a broader view of SE's releases. As a successor to the P1, the next P device WILL MATCH the P1 in every respect (as far as usability goes). And to be a good successor, it will have to IMPROVE on P1 specs in some way or another. UIQ 3.3 is just one of those improvements. But the average buyer wont know what version the P5 has relative to its predecessor, or how its improved. They would simply want to know things like the spec lists, how it looks, etc. Paris, can, should and will bring the P1 into 2008. It may not be an entire overhaul of everything P1 is, but it will certainly provide all the necessary upgrades most people would expect.

The upward and downward slide gimmick are so useless if their only purpose is to reveal camera buttons and videocall. hundreds of handsets already implemented those functions without the need to slide. The only practical use of slide is QWERTY

about the "happy feet" trailer in SE video just read: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Happy_Feet
it's a 2006 movie...

We can also read Beyonce in this video. Beyonce last album was in 2006...
We can also see the 2005 movie: the legend of Zorro.

IT IS A 2 YEARS OLD VIDEO!!!!!! (1 year before the fruitphone)
