I wish just one more update to be released to fix the colours of the camera and should improve the sharpness a little bit. In the recent days I tryed to edit my photos in photoshop, but it is nearly impossible to get decent pictures from those with ugly red colours or with low saturation, with any adjustment. Recently the Sony's, and by the way the SonyEricsson's cameras were blamed because of their unnaturaly oversaturated and vivid colours -wich I liked- but the K850 doesn't suffer from such things.

All they need to do is ctrl+C the code from PhotoDJ ++saturation into the part where the camdriver saves the .jpg

That's your point of view. K850 compared to C902 is way better (xenon flash, design) and most nokias (blokias?)

Nobody told you to buy this phone in the first place, and in second, I consider your comment totally useless and inmature.

I have a K850 and tweaking some settings I can get pictures even better than a cybershot real camera. Is just a matter of patience. Seems to be that you totally lack that.

This would help a little bit... but for my taste in photoDJ +++ or +++++ saturation would be enough, and in some conditions all the colours are wrong. I'll post some examples too. But there ara some places, wich I know very well, and I made pictures there with K750 and MCA-25+SE T310 (!) too, and the colours were OK, but with the K850 I can use any profile any white balance photo DJ, photoshop, or whatever, the colours remain just "wrong". I had always Ericsson or SE phones, but I don't like the K850's camera neither the screen (the colours are more worse than on my sister's W580). I won't buy a C902, because it lacks the flash, and sadly the C905 will be quite "heavy", but except this it would be perfect.

Well, I just got burned twice by SE phones. The K800 I had bought off ebay with damaged EROM and I had managed to fix died again as soon as I stepped of the plane. And after 4 days of holiday, the K850 right hand sensitive key started acting on it's own, leading to a BROD as the vibration feedback was enabled. So, here I am in the middle of almost nowhere, no way to reflash my k850, thankfully the tour guide had broadband at home and did it for me. So, a BROD with the latest firmware, and now a broken keyboard (replacing the membrane didn't fix it). Both phones are now at the local SE representative, the K800 in fact was sent to SE. We'll see how much will the inferior manufacturing of these two phones cost me.

Hi to you guys reading threads as usual .. my k850 hasnt restarted for a while now but the freezing and sticking is frustrating, it only goes back to normal when I manually restarts the phone so I guess one way or the other I have to restart (LOL) but other wise its performance is fairly ok

Hope that there is last firmware coming because we would just have to live with it or get rid of it

nokias (blokias?)

Perhaps it's slightly inappropriate to take stabs at block-like phones whenever you are defending what many people consider to be the most brick-like phone on the market..

i got my phone this sunday gone and it came with R1EA.. updated it to R1FA035 and so far my phone hasnt crashed/restarted yet!

working excellent! im glad i bought it. i have to treat it like a baby though. i dont have a case and its a real finger print magnet.

At first i thought the camera was buggy then i realized the plastic messed with the light censor on the cam. when i removed the back plastic, i got excellent pics

If I change my CDA or whole FW, do i keep my all languge package (american one)? I did change from Nordic one, just for that American with all languages. Right now, my CDA is like 123456

In the past, SE releases a firmware every two months for the K850i, do you think we will see a new one soon?. Last one was released June 18 and the 2 month mark is coming up pretty soon. I hope R1FA isn't final. I'm waiting for a new camdriver.

I think this one is the final one, it was when the k800 got its final one i think.
I think the camera on the k850 has had its ups and downs. However, when I was at a rugby match yesterday, the outdoor pics were stunning, colors perfect, sharp. I also took some macro pictures looking along a rugby ball onto the background, and these macro pics were crisp and beautifully in focus, i was well impressed. However, take it inside, and it all falls a part. I think SE have to develop some code that will not only make it flash in low light, but flash in artifisial light too. Something called flash-fill that my nikon does all the time, and seems to work perfectly.
