Hey people! I'm new and I'm not sure if this is the right thread but....
Does anyone know when you can unlock the w850i? Mine is on 3 and I can't get it unlocked anywhere as the software is 'not available'
Please can someone help me out! Thanks! |

I have another problem. When someone rings me the phone is not showing up missed calls at all so that I don't realise that someone has called me. This doesn't happen all the time, but sometimes when I maybe have a slightly poor signal. |

Got a few questions about this phone if anyonee can help?
Does it have the same 'smilies' as the k800 for txts, and from a previous k800 owner is the cam alot worse? I guess daytime shots aren't gonna be massively different and it'll just be darker ones.
It's either between another k800 or this and I can't decide!!!! I really do like the w850 designwise tho and with the screen quality being identical i'm leaning that way....

Hi I'm new here. My w850i main camera has the following specification at the back: f=3.86mm 2.5x Digital Zoom whereas compare to the official picture the camera should have this spec: f=4.35 mm 1:4.0 Digital Zoom. Does anyone has any idea what happened with this different type of lens? Thanks. |

Having been a candy bar user ever since I started using mobile phones, I'm still trying to get used to this slider phone. Texting can sometimes be difficult and the keypad is somewhat too soft. The directional pad is a tad tough to press at times. The camera function of my old W800i is a lot better than the W850i in my opinion.
But I know I'll get used to these minor quirks.
I actually was choosing between this and the K800i but I decided that I already have a Sony Cyber-shot W50 so I opted for the W850i.
Overall, the W850 is a great phone. I like the new Walkman UI though I'm clueless as to how I can manage to make the album art come out.
Anybody here have a clue?

craigyboi's suggestion really works! Thanks masseur for giving me the link.
The Walkman UI is definitely nicer when there's album art. |

Thanks, actually I don't really care about the digital zoom, but I think the picture quality produced by two different lenses will also be different. I know that shorter focal lenght (f=3.86 mm) means wider viewing angle but this is only good when you want to take a shoot at big object like building. Also f=4.35mm is the same lens spec as K750i which I think has far better camera (apart from auto focus/macro mode). My other question is which one is the final specification? I wrote questions about this to SE but haven't got any reply yet. |

Has anyone ever experienced any problems with the call list?
I do.
I've already made several calls and so far, the phone has only listed one. I asked a friend to call me and still, her number did not register in the call list.
My current firmware is
CXC1250204
R1ED001
060831
When I tried updating the firware over the air, I got a message that says my phone already has the latest software installed.
Any helpful insights would be most appreciated.
Thanks.

Hi.
I've had my w850i for about 2 weeks and love it so far (despite the not so great pictures).
Just started a small blog about the w850i. Visit http://w850i.multiply.com/journal -- hope everyone will find it useful.
Cheers.

Thanks...
