hey... im new to this forum but usualy read the k850i firmware forum every now and then. I had the R1F firmware on my phone and i took my phone to a shop to get it unlocked. I came home and put the charger in as the battery was really low and all of a sudden just crashed, i left it on for a few minutes then decided to take the battery out and put it back in.. after that my phone has BROD only keypad lights working and the blue ring at the back... any advice for me?

My phone have R1CA029 Firmware and I dont want a BROD, is better keep the R1C029 or should I update the firmware to R1F ?

I very satisfied with the picture quality with R1CA029, the only thing i dont like is the media player and the games are little slow.

How is the picture quality on R1F compared to R1CA029 ?

Edit: R1F isnt available for my region, so i will keep R1CA029 (BROD Free)

That's pretty poor customer service.

My LG LCD monitor died recently and fortunately was just still under warranty. I emailed them and they replied next day with contact details of the service centre. I rang and they came next day to pick up the monitor. Then they returned it fixed the day after that! Now THAT is good service.

Anyways, still on FW 39 with 3 Aust. If 3 haven't updated FW then it mustn't be stable yet IMO. Had BROD scare yesterday... but thank goodness the phone restarted ok.

I just update my K850, is a matter of courage to upgrade it, but well...

I'm using R1EA037
Not a single reboot or freeze since updated past saturday.

Somehow, I'm not satisfied with the quality of my pictures compared to my previous K850.
This one took a yellowish tint at night.
I just hope to see XS 3 or any other related to use camdrivers because this is driving me crazy.

3 weeks with r1f and no problems.

on to other issues, after 5.5 months of owning the phone, dust is finally collecting under the glass lens.
It's not thick specs of particles, but it noticeable only if someone were to point it out to them.
How annoying.

well everything was going so well, i had performed every update and had been using the R1FA035 ever since the apac one came out.

Then today i answered a few calls, returned the phone to my pocket, pulled it out at lunch to share some pictures with some friends and

BROD

this was on R1FA035, i have never experienced this before and had to use Davinci Team to re-flash it. I tried to fix it with SEUS but it would sit at 0% updated and then it would fail.

I really hope i dont have any more problems.

Prior to this issue i was having an issue installin the latest opera mini, it would hang on the download so i was forced to use opera mini 3

also when i ran the jbenchmark programs it was no where near the results on the main page of this forum

greenfalcon > two questions - were you using the vibrate feedback on the touch buttons and did you try to re-flash your phone with SEUS when you started seeing its mis-behavior (prior to the BROD) such as the jbenchmark slowdown and your inability to install opera mini? I'm thinking that when the phone starts mis-behaving it might be a good thing to perform a master reset followed by a re-flash with SEUS (continue anyways). Just a thought. I myself went through 2 BRODs with R1EA031 (?) and stepped back to R1CA037, but have been using the R1F firmware for well over a month now with (knock on wood) no problems besides the occasional 'quick' reboot.

Hi everybody!
I updated to R1FA--- on this Saturday. Performance is good but there isn't any speed improvement in media or startup comparing to the R1EA037.
1 improvement is the "Update Media" option under Media settings. And now we can again browse files by name in the very first folders. In the previous two firmwares R1EA031 and ---037 u couldn't do that.
One thing i noted is when i turned on the phone right after updating to R1F---, the phone didn't rebooted as it did after updating to the previous two firmwares. No reboot so far.
My phone has got brod two times and i'm hoping i dont have to face it again.

I K850i

adieu
