I think not!!! I have compared the latest pics with the older ones and the new pics has a more improved and refined design and build of paris and hence a newer proto...
I can create a 'pics comparison' if anyone wants???
please do so |

Same old 208mhx Nexperia processor. I knew it was too good to be true to think that SE would suddenly take a plunge into using something like OMAP 3rd series.
To those who fuel the rumors you really shouldnt do these things as you only make the situation even worse when the true specs are revealed.
If this phone really is the all bells singing phone from SE this year that so many people said they would take over the X1 then I dont see for 1 minute how 2008 will "SE's year". Unless you meant to say it would the year SE drops even further behind Samsung. lol
What a load of tosh to think that SE have been using the same specs since the P990.
So whats the next rumor? That this P200 isnt the real flagship and a new even better and bigger one is on the way?

it could be the old proto as this one was supposed to have qvga 2.6" screen, though this proto shows gps and i thought that was something which was added latter to the new proto ! |

So lets see we went from previously VGA screen 3.0 inch screen OMAP 3rd gen chipset to: not VGA screen, 2.4 or 2.6 inches and same old Nexperia processor used since P990.
And now we have Shiho as a new platform, 2.4 inch screen 7.2mp, Exmor technology and optical zoom.
But I reckon it will really be 2.2 inches, 100 crappy touch buttons all over the phone and same old platfom.
SE yet again you dissapoint us.

Probably SE will release two versions of P slider type Just like the Gseries G700 and G900. Therefore I assume what's comming is something like P200 and P500(paris) |

2 versions of a mid end phone is fine but 2 versions of a high end phone? I dont think so. Thats just clinging onto straws end if you ask me.
Almost 3 years after OMAP 2420 was used in the N93 and SE STILL have not released a device with a CPU of that calibre. TSay whatever you want about Nokia and its bulky phones but that above is a fact and that hat is a joke on SE's part.

If the specs listed are true (which I hope is not) then we have 500+ MHz processor limited by 208 MHz bus speed, 2.4" screen, a GPS and an M600 style keyboard. Now how exactly is this so called flagship that we were all waiting for is any better than the P1? It will probably be shorter than the P1 due to the sliding keyboard but definitely not worth spending money on for anyone who has a P1. As for myself, give me a P990 with 128 MB memory, I'll take it any day...
P990i: A mistake, a curse and a disgrace So I lowered my expectations and settled for a P1i. I couldn't keep my expectations so low for a long time so now I have an HTC Touch HD |

Check this out... Two pictures of Paris' M2 slot, but completly different (look at the logos). So it means that these are 2 different protos...

my next phone should have 3.5mm jack, stereo speakers, at least 256mb internal memory and wifi, at least 3.2MP AF camera (flash with torch function), everything packed in a nice design (please without those ugly obvious screw covers anywhere on the phone) and should come with high quality headphones.
I guess it must be a nokia then

Here:
The media player button icon now improved and more recognizable...
Already showed by bider, nice find...
So many minor improvements... In Blue, there is line in the older proto but the newer one is plain and has some space which looks like speaker grill... In Green, in the older one the placement of camera, flash and mirror were randomly done but in the newer one they have been arranged like SE puts them in most of their phone... Flash above the camera and not below it... In Red, the dots for grip were at the wrong place as it would have been difficult to push it up to close it when it was at the bottom but now it is slightly above the center of the lens cover so that it can be easily opened and closed...
The call buttons and D-pad had cheap looking opaque plastics now they are transperent and better quality plastics...
And hence the newer pics have a newer proto... Hope that helps...

apart from that I would never describe X1's design as nice, plus it has ugly screw covers on the back, (don't want WM device either).
I was more thinking in the direction of W890 or 5310 successor, with a starting price lower than 350 euros. Ideas came from reading somewhere in a nokia rumours thread that all Nseries devices will now come with 3.5 mm jack and wifi ; music based devices with high quality headphones made by philips, and most nokia devices are actually quite cheaper than similar SE ones, in my country. So I wish SE had similar plans and would release there phones with reasonable price tags.
