All this scaremongering is just rubbish. As was previously stated, we can all update our firmware, so what's the problem.

By the fact that some phones have the problem and some phones dont, even on the same network with the same firmware, i would say it is entirely possible this is a hardware fault not a firmware fault. in which case you cant get an updated firmware to fix it. Otherwise how do you explain phones with identical software and branding on them behaving differently if it isnt a hardware issue?
I ordered mine on friday to use until samsung gets their fingers out their arses and sorts out the d600 that ive been waiting for, so it looks like ill be waiting until some time after the 20th before it turns up as i dont want one of these faulty ones.
of course if these companies did any testing what so ever then they would spot these numerous huge bugs in these things long before customers get anywhere near the phones (and im talking about these phones in general such as the k700 problems, not this particular issue).

SE Belgium told me the new firmware will fix the freezes and the low volume amongst other bugs, and should be available... today!
I'm not sure if they still will put it online today but in the next days for sure!

O2 are weird. It could be that the store I bought it from sent a text to all the customers it sold the phone to? Who knows. |

Update to my previous post...
I just called O2 again to find out the likelyhood of me getting a phone on the 20th if they've been back ordered for a while due to this problem. The guy said the lead time was going to be approx three weeks from today, which sticks me the first week in July, not the 20th June. He confirmed that the phones were being sent back to SE for a software update.
He did however tell me that I should be able to get a phone if I drop into an O2 store with my upgrade letter, despite being an online customer. |

thats crap!
Ive waited nearly 3 weeks now by the 20th, so it will be another 2 weeks after that??!
Wheres this upgrade letter then? I thought the idea of being an online customer was to cut out all the paper work they send you, I never received an letter last time I ordered online, i know its different with an upgrade but I "upgraded" 2 weeks ago, and so far havent received anything....
At this rate I may as well wait for the w800!! |

i'm due an upgrade on an o2 online contract. i phoned the upgrade number yesterday (14/06) and the girl on the phone told me it would be about 3 weeks before they were sending out any k750i's.
does anyone know for certain if i can get an unbranded k750i on an upgrade from cpw with an o2 online contract, or do i have to get one direct from o2? |

hmm... i just rang up o2's customer care, about upgrading my p900 to a K750i, and they told me that they are stopping selling the phone all together now, "due to the phone freezing and bluetooth problems!" so i said its still for sale on the web site, and says will be available on the 20th! she claimed to not know anything about it, lol, oh well!

all these problems with o2. o2 are only good for pay as you go, i think everyone should move to orange, there handsets seem to be ok, even after the new filmwear update. Lets all go to orange now, good customer service they give, plus the cust service hold music is nice and they let you try things free for a month.
So instead of waiting till the 20th or 2 weeks after the 20th, lets go to orange, and no i don't work for orange,if people think that, but they are a good company, wouldn't mind working for them though lol.

no lol, but i do have 2 contracts with them lol. Nah honestly, i'v never had trouble with them before, when you sign up 2 weeks later they call you, and ask how your finding your phone and if there is anything else they can do to you, then they offer me a free service too. lol
One major thing about orange that keeps me with them, is conference calling, orange is the only network that allows you to have upto 5 people on the line at the same time, and the cost will just come off your allocation of free mins. No additional set up charges and any other charges that other networks place on the customer. ok ok i'l stop now, but nah i don't work for orange. But they do provide a good service, better than 02, voda are too expensive and t mobile, well they don't really have great handsets and are always slow in bringing new handsets out.
lol ok iv said enough now lol. |

I will move to orange, if you can give me the same deal:
50 minute n 500 text for £14
and gold insurence for £5 |

i don't work for orange lol, but they do have what is known as orange value promise, which they will match any deal from other networks, my advice go into orange store and tell them you want them to match your deal, and you may get it. |

I'm on o2 from the CPW and my k750i is unbranded. I got upgraded from my P800 a week ago.
The first few days were fine, no crashing etc, but now..... argh its soo annoying! I woke up the other morning to find my phone off, i had to take the battery out and put it back in again, then realised it was 12pm and i was meant to be working!
Earlier on today i looked at my phone to see the screensaver clock said 10.55, then i went to use the phone only to find it had froze! Once again the battery had to come out ans reset the phone. When the phone came back on it was 13.20
The phone is brilliant but seriously need to fix the problems on phones before they release them!
