O2 stop selling k750i (temporarily) |

o2 has temporarily removed the k750i from sale due to customer returns and issues of the phone freezing. However they are saying that they will be releasing a new version of the phone towards the 20th. Those that have already purchased the phone from o2 have 3 options: 1. Hang onto the phone and have it replaced with one of the new version when it arrives. 2. Have the phone changed to a samsung d500 or E720 (somehow i don't think so) or cancel their contract. This is a bit disappointing for me to hear, as my little k750i has so far been perfect except for one reset that i have been aware of. But looks like i'm gonna have to get the phone replaced to the new model just to be on the safe side. |

Still selling it on the website and I've just been sat next to a colleague who ordered one on phone sales. Who made this announcement? |

Thats why l always get my o2 contract phones from CPW. No o2 branding. Had a K700i last year on contract from CPW, generic SE FW and has always worked perfectly. When my contract is up for renewal, l'll go CPW again to get K750 or W800 when its time. lt always seems to me when operators FW is on a device its unstable IMO.

can they only be returned if you bought from o2 shop directly?
i bought mine from an independant dealer (theorder.co.uk) yesterday. hopefully it will be sim free model but if its o2 branded and arrives with the standby crash bug, will i be able to return it and swap it fro the 20th june model? |

i know its the same with my phone, so far its been great, but will need to talk this over and see when new information about the fixed software comes through. But at least o2 have been extremely quick at discovering this issue and getting a resolve to it. Can't fault them there |

Hi Guys,
I got my Sony Ericsson K750i from o2 (direct via courier) last Friday and have had absolutely no problems with it. No standby crashes or anything. One of my work colleagues incidentally also got a SE k750i from o2 last Friday and yet again no crashes at all!
FYI... My firmware is: R1A044
Excellent phone. Go get one you won't regret it.
Cheers,

I have spoke to o2 online and yes it has been confirmed, they are not selling the k750i. I am sending mine back today and they have put me down for a new one on the 20th...
So for now its back to my 0.3mp nokia 6230
I suppose them giving £15 off my contract next month for the hassle caused, is a gesture of good will. |

I ordered mine last Friday but they have been out of stock since then.
Someone i know said they rang CS and they said next delivery was on the 10th (friday). 20th is a bit too long, but its the only phone i want at the minute so I guess I can wait a bit longer. |

I got mine 2 weeks ago and have not had a single crash apart from once the events stopped working so I restarted but that's it!
I got mine from an O2 shop. Now I'm just wondering should I return it anyway on the 20th and change it for a new one just in case? Seems pointless but then again, it might give me problems later on if I keep it! Anyone else in the same situation? |
