Well, I couldn't tell you that. I downloaded that distribution straight off droll's site as soon as I noticed this thread.

Hi Adrian

I would RTFM if I had one. As you know SMan 1.4 was not released
with a manual.
I didn't realize there is already a manual ou there, so my fault.

Second, the reason you gave to SMan capturing the key is not valid.
Have you ever thought I might have other application doing the same job?

I've been quite active trying to help people out there to create good icon pack for SMan, as you can thread in this topic:
http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=91968
And yes, I WAS thinking in creating my set of icons (if possible).

I contributed for SMan, by bug reports and support by e-mail. Both you and Droll know me.
I'm not the kind of passive guy that sees the problems and does nothing to help.

If you can not read some criticism, your good application will never get much better. And I think it deserves to be better, and I think it deserves a good icon set.

But that's just me...

Chill out and enjoy your P

Your contribution to SMan is utterly irrelevant in this context, and does not preclude you from having the same common courtesy as everyone else. It is not what you say but very much the way in which you say it, and your comments, given that SMan is:

a) The undisputed most important application designed for UIQ thus far, and

b) totally free of charge to the end user

I too, would think that you had a bloody cheek criticising it in such a manner.

Nobody, least of all ajack, is suggesting that constructive criticism is not vital to the development of applications, but why be so immature (among other things) as to phrase is that:

"the icons suck".

That's all, and @ajack, we all owe you more than one!

What is all the fuzz about icons? Are you using the program or are you staring at the icons all day. They are functional and we need all the mem. we can get.

@Residentevil, other Esatorians
Please, understand: the quality of the icons used does NOT affect the memory usage (or at least the difference is so small that it won't affect the OS' speed).

In the *new* distribution is. In the original, not.

SMan always ships with the manual. Only the betas came without manual.

@Foxhunter

FN->Options->Hotkey and then choose disable hotkey from the dropdown menu to permanently disable it.

woun't help, that's what we are debating about, if you reboot your phone sman will loose this setup.

as ajack said i have read (searched trough) the manual but couldn't find anything about how to disable it permanently.

ajack & droll sman is a real masterpiece and btw i like your oldie icons!

but i have to join redragon. is the missed call notification is only available for p9x0? on my loved p800 you can't click this option

cheers averess

@ averess

Have you actually read and done what I suggested, I'm not talking about the disable hotkey under the hotkey option, but the hotkey option where you choose which button you want to assign as the hotkey.

Now I know why Ajack was reluctant to answer!

Sorry, that feature does not work correctly on a P800, even with the latest firmware for P800. That is why we grayed it out. FYI, both Droll and I are using P800 ourselves and trust me, we would have made it work if we could.

What do you mean with: RTFM?¿?

So it is not possible to disable Sman's hotkey after a reboot? (So that the internet button is the internet button and not the Sman shortcut)
