yeah thats the funny thing. I did go to the SE website and i was able to set up my MMS from there but not my GPRS. It does have the virgin WAP thing on there but when i recieve it, i still can't connect to the net.
Anyone else on virgin who can successfully use GPRS? |

I have just purchased k700 from virgin. Love it! No problems at all.
I did call virgin and they have advised me that they do not have GPRS at the moment, but that it is coming soon... |

not strictly on-topic, but i saw a z1010 on display at my local 3 kiosk. it's bigger than i thought it would be, and they only had grey which doesn't look as good.

I kno everyone is saying that people should wait for the S700. I've already got the K700 with virgin, proud owner. However does anyone else reckon that it is a real risky design? It seems a little weird so thats why i didn't wait for it. Besides i'm just old fashioned for the typical front phones |

@ kyniver.
have you got access to WAP with virgin. I called them and they said they dont have the facility set up at the moment, and wont until the end of the year. But have downloaded wap settings via sony ericsson site.... and even though they say the dont have it. It works!! |

I got mine from Virgin too ($40/month for $0 upfront). Virgin told me GPRS available end of month. I tried the Sony Ericsson WAP settting which worked but I still can't get connection. So, all Virgins with K700s have to wait and miss out on downloading cool stuff for our K700 (like Splinter Cell). |

I have downloaded themes and ringtones off the ericsson site. My k700 came with a limited edition pack, which included access to download 3 mp3 songs for use as ring tones . The site states need wap to download. Ive done this and it works. Havent tried downloading other things off sites though.
I have the same version phone as you esky |

No problems with my phone, I love it. Just some niggles, like when sync'ng the contacts with Outlook, it doesn't like the categories and doubles up on my contacts. I have tried different settings but I am getting sick of deleting copies of the same contacts.
And why does all content for the phone like games and ringtones have to go through WAP? Why can't I just download to my PC and transfer it to the phone? |

Scrap my last comment on getting content online without WAP. I found www.k-700.com with lots of free games, ringtones and screen savers. I just got Splinter Cell from them. |
