The second theme in the Esato themes thread Cannot possibly be meant to look that way. Something must have happened since even the desktop shows only the highlighted one...
I'm working on one myself. The trouble is to get that esato feeling. It's best to get it to have a "timeless" feeling since the esato interface could change. But then again, it's got to have an esato feeling. hmmm...

I suspect the theme meaker is using ericssony's TCP version 1.30, (or at least the one before the most recent) which as I recall did have a preview bug on the menu and a few other gripes.
In any case it doesn't matter as the actual icons are preset in your phones fw anyway

Theme creator 3G does that with mine. It's only on the preview screen and as Vlam said it doesn't effect the actual theme

BTW is there going to be a preview hread for each category or will all themes be put in one? Then how would we know which is which?
Is the esato logo MANDATORY for cat 1 or are those of us that can, free to design a new logo?

there will be one thread for each category and the title of the thread will include the category name so it is easy to know what you are voting for.
as there is only the "Theme Competition - Official Esato Theme entries (category 1)" thread created so far you can see we have not received submissions for the ringtone or general themes category, so come on guys, get working!
it is not mandatory to include the current Esato logo in your Esato theme and we welcome your creativity |

Just a question, is it ok to submit a theme to the competition that we have already submited in the "free themes" of esato?

Yes, you can submit any theme you want as long as it is your own creation.

Can we make suggestions to the themes submitted?
And can entries be revised after submission?
Because if we can, I'd like to suggest on theme number 7 for category one, that the active TEXT colour on the highlight be made a different shade, as to stand out a bit more from the background. If I am mistaken and the preview actually shows inactive text, perhaps the theme maker would be so kind to also include a preview that shows active text?
If not allowed, let me know and I'll edit this out
