I admit its rare now for me to have a lasting appreciation for a non Apple device, but S2 and even some tablets are attracting my attention.
Its interesting, given my long history with WM devices, that I have zero interest in windows mobile 7 devices!

Well I was shocked discover that WM7 when it first arrived never even supported multi tasking. But that's changed now and with Nokia taking up WM7 it needs multi tasking. I like the new HTC Flyer I got a little booklet on it with the latest Mobile Choice magazine.

The latest upgrade isn't available to me yet even though I have a sim free unit.
for anyone with S2 wanting this update, its not available OTA within the handset itself, but if you connect to kies it will prompt you right away to do the upgrade.
I'm all done now and it seems to have fixed the auto brightness that I didn't like as it seemed to cause a bit of flicker with constant adjustments and was generally a bit dimmer than I would like.
I'm sure there's more too that I'll notice over the next few days

I am still out now but I just played with a live one of these in an O2 store. Wow beautiful indeed and so smooth. I love the animated weather app.

@masseur-if you update through kies do you lose any content that you have downloaded/added?

yes, but it offers to back up first.
I couldn't actually get the update to work until I reset the device to factory standards. I googled to find that out though its not how its supposed to be.
after the upgrade you can restore using kies and then you should be able to use the android market online to send all the apps back to the phone.
its not as elegant as itunes updates which is all in one and you get back exactly what you started when you update

I did the update via Kies... I did not lose anything...

and it worked without doing a master reset for you?
I tried several times before doing the master reset. The phone would show a screen saying it is downloading but Kies said it could not get the phone into update mode and so aborted.

Yes without doing anything just plugged in and started downloading...
No need to do any master reset had everything the way I had it setup... Maybe you had some driver update issue...
I have Windows 7 32Bit... and the latest Kies...
