This release has a 5x digital zoom. How do you access this? Or is it only on the proper OS4 phone?

while going to take a picture press anywhere on the screen and a scroll bar will show, you then use the
scroll bar to zoom, there you go 5x digital zoom. I'm using a 3gs |

Oh one more thing, hope you don't me posting this as its not iOs4 but EA are doing a good 59p sale on a lot of there games like NFS Shift. That's if you already don't know... oh and its only a 48 hour sale.

The slider will not show until you touch the screen. Close the camera and reopen it again and then avoid touching the screen and see if this stops the zoom slider from appearing.
I find the zoom useful for checking the autofocus. Zoom in to check and then out again before shooting.

A colleague had this on his 3GS today and showed me a few things...
The screen looks totally different with the folders and the multi-tasking looked good... Also showed me the iBook thing...
One thing that suprised me was the lag though!!! Reminded me of the Hero!
Looking forward to having a play with the new handset... If I get a chance that is! |

I notice lag in the ipod app when viewing video podcasts sometimes. I've mentioned that before but thats the only place that is obvious. Everywhere else is fluid for me

I'm not sure what you mean but I've been running OS 4 beta or 2 months so I guess during that time there has been some multi tasking going on with the pre installed apps.
even now with the official release, with many apps updated to iOS4 I see the same, though the ipod app itself pauses when video is played and you switch apps

Masseur, what I was meaning was how many apps do you have in the background, i'm trying to get the lag but its still working fine, at the mo I have video pod casts open, real racing, safari, maps, youtube, and super laser the alien fighter, but no lang. |
