as is answered this question already for bjerky in the Australians where are you thread, i'll repeat here:
it's actually the name of the lead character from a series of stories i started writing with a friend at uni. now i tend to use it as a catch-all internet name for forums and email.
the character is in some respects an idealised version of myself - all of my strengths and none of my weaknesses.
