@Prom1
Yeah turn on the night mode especially if it's a shot taken indoors and there's no natural lighting available. Nice outdoor pics though. Post some at the W810 photos thread

s been flawless regarding the phone functions. the pictures also good, could be better I mean the zoom is useless...i rarely use zoom, but when I do and review the pic on comp its not very good. but other than that just fine cam.
When browsing thru pics it takes significant time to display, but then when reviewing ultimately afterwards it goes just well, so a little tie here.
The movement in zoomed mode around pic could also be kinda faster, but then I compared it to actual digital cam (quite new) and there it was the same.
Music is great. The walkman interface too, but I found one little annoying thing... I cant store preset, why? I would also welcome if there was a little more bass to adjust besides turning to MEGA BASS.
what else? I dont know yet, those were my major issues.

hi, and even when shooting in night mode, the pics go noisy in darker environs. so i suggest you get this little handy utility for noise removal>

I’ve defiantly enjoyed my w810i the most out of every phone ive owned but I cant say its been problem free, back when I got it my usb port failed while transferring data to the w810i, this resulted in the whole phone being wiped clean and me having to send it back to a SC to have it repaired – also had problems with the charger but other then that its been a damn good phone – and has made my next phone choice another SE

@lelly, not sure what is wrong. If your phone is unlocked yet STILL branded, most likely its the firmware.
> NO PHONE is totally bug free. Humans are bug laden as well, so nothing we make will EVER be perfect. However, I find that SE phones in general have less issues wtih BUGS.

Can anyone tell me the restrictions vodafone put on the w810? Getting mine nexy week and want to know what I'm in for. Can you update OTA? How many game demos? Mp3/4 restrictions? Button functions changed? Anything.

Good day to all. Any one knows if there is a backup facility for all notes, tasks and calendar entries for W810i in case they get wiped off in a firmware update?

Phonebook can be backed up to the memory stick. Go into the phonebook options and there should be an option in there of in one of the sub menu's.
On an SMS message just select the MORE tag and select save message. Saves it to your sim card
Games, pics, apps etc Highlight them and press MORE then Manage File, Move, Memory Stick then select which folder you want to put them in and select Paste.

@soisal - colleague has a vodafone one and there are several
"features" missing, like ota updates and backup phonebook to
sim. we didn't have any trouble with mp3 songs or ringtones.
main menu appers to be re-arranged as well. |

You can update W810 OTA, from setting?general?update service, but i haven't tried it yet, so cant be sure about the whole process. Any java games can be played, go to www.gsmhacks.com to download lots of java games.
