2.6 inch screen? doesnt look like 2.8...

Well, back in february, 2 protos of Paris/Pnext was circulating.

-Both had the M600/P1-style keyboard.
-One had 2.6" screen in QVGA, and another, newer had 2.8" screen in VGA.
(Source: Mizzle)

-I think this could be the old proto.

^^^ From that link:

Microprocessor, Chipset
CPU: Intel XScale PXA270
Browse all devices based on XScale PXA270
Width of Machine Word: 32 bit
CPU Clock: 520 MHz
CPU Clock Multiplier: 2.5
Internal Systembus Clock: 208 MHz
CPU Core: Intel XScale
Level 1 cache: 32KB data cache / 32 KB instruction cache
Instruction Set: ARMv5TE

Maybe that's why swiss manager shows 208mhz??? Also, it seems that the pictures posted of the paris are of the latest proto and I can clearly see that the unit in those pics has a QVGA screen and not VGA...

The Paris in those photos look a lot like the ones we saw before that m-one said was an early prototype and not the current iteration. I say this because the back material looks very similar and the person that posted those photos (i forget who, sorry) said it was a handmade very early prototype.

M-one confirmed it would not be using the old HW and i'm keeping my bets on that information. I find it hard to believe that SE would release a flagship UIQ phone using old hardware and simply optimizing the software. If so, Paris is essentially the G900 with a different form factor and slightly different capabilities.

These pictures are very appreciated, but I will refrain any disappointment until official specs, video, whitepaper, etc are released.

Display 2.4"!!!... I hope there is a mistake there.
P990i: A mistake, a curse and a disgrace So I lowered my expectations and settled for a P1i. I couldn't keep my expectations so low for a long time so now I have an HTC Touch HD

now after waiting for a year is se giving slider form of p1 with poor 5mp cam?

Of course - the device looks _far_ too big to have a 2.4" screen.

pfffff, 2.4" screen!? On a flagship!? F**k that! It better be 2.8" VGA to keep my interest. What these links have shown us on the positive side:

great keyboard
there IS a flash, and it looks the part now
500+ MHz processing
It has a scrollwheel, apparently, somewhere...
WLAN b/g
GPS
HSDPA
HSUPA
OS looks pretty good to me

The Bad/Disappointing:
THE SCREEN!!!
2.4"? QVGA?

I think these links are just speculation/smoke and mirrors. Fine, the pics are obviously real, but for some reason they are dated today :S. Doesn't that sound a bit too recent? Also, wouldn't someone like Mizz or M-one know about it if they changed the screen so much? And why has PK been so very quiet lately...

I think not!!! I have compared the latest pics with the older ones and the new pics has a more improved and refined design and build of paris and hence a newer proto...

I can create a 'pics comparison' if anyone wants???

Well if it's going to be P2i then no flagship I'm afraid... Just an upgrade to P1i, more money for SE to fill the financial gaps made to develop Xperia (the actual flagship). Hope I'm wrong...
