This news about the keys is really great. I hope that many apps can use them. |

Xell: Amazing!! Thank you very much for posting.
And thank you, too, m-one.
Those short-cut keys looks great. Paris is sure to turn heads.
I'm now getting very excited for the 14th...but still a little reserved.
I hope Wednesday's the day.

Indeed. I love it when I leave for a few hours, come back, and there's been a major leak like this.
I'm sure the full-length video will be drool-worthy. Hopefully the official specs are too. |

Tigershark, the thing I said about 14th november. I meant back in 2007 (before rumored HW changes) |

Yea. Not that I remember very well, but I still think you may be confusing it with the W960 release. Not that it matters now, anyway. PARIS! |

On these latest pics Paris looks really good.
Also, the idea of shortcuts is REALLY promising and also is a good multitasking concept. |

And so we follow on the trail of leaked breadcrumbs We're definately getting closer, but m-one wrote in se-world.info 22.04.2008 12:46
'Paris will be officially presented at the end of May and not earlier, as perhaps some in the upcoming
Hineininterpretiert announcement.'

Still, I think that was the case then, after that the UIQ events in the US were postponed. We'll see.

Yeah it sure looks amazing! But according to this photo, the screen unfortunately looks more like 2.6''... |

I think it's just an anomaly with the video screencaps. The live pics make it obvious the screen is 2.8". If you try to mentally match the screencap pics to the live pics, the screen is the same size....so once again, I think it's just an oddity with the video.
Another reason I think people think it looks 2.6" is because they assume it's the exact same footprint as the N95, whereas I think Paris, while thinner, is actually a little larger than the N95. It's probably more P1-sized.

I've tried to compare real spypic with p1i in photoshop, and if the keys are the same size, the diagonal of paris' screen is 0,5 cm longer so it fits 2,8''.
I'm a bit affraid about the information from My-symbian though. Satsuma said:
"So having played with this a couple of times now, I have been told it's UIQ 3.3 which is a step change for SEMC. I have been told by a gentleman who's pretty high up, from Kista, that the h/w platform is not a new one - i.e it's not OMAP3; that doesn't mean it might not run modified existing h/w though."
 Unofficial SonyEricssonClub.plT10 -> T65 -> T310 -> T610 -> T630 -> K700 -> P910 -> P990 -> P1i -> Xperia X1 + C702 -> Xperia X10 mini + Xperia X10!!! What can I say... I'm  maniac!! |
