Just checked this and my phone and it does allow me to select files by the first letter

you cannot select files by using first letters unless it is arranged by name. So first arrange your files by name then type the first letter.

Does anyone know if there is a new firmware out that allows K850 to use flash themes. XS++ says phone is not supported but there is a YouTube video showing a K850 with flash themes

There wont be a firmware coming out for any SE phone to support custom flash menu's and themes.

People are saying XS++ 3.2 will support the new platform (which includes the K850), but it isnt out yet.

What you saw on youtube was done with a SE Tool box, which is quite expensive, best thing you can do is wait for a new, stable version of XS++.

Any idea where I can get the custom flash files for use with SETool box? I have limited access to a box and wouldn't mind trying some flash goodness

This phone sucks big time.. Was on r1.. Had a random restart.. Bang !! All my java apps n games are corrupted.. Out of the blue !!.. Tried reinstalling but to no avail.. Kept on showing operation failed.. Reflashed by SEUS followed by a master reset n card format.. But many apps n games are not installing now saying that they are already installed.. So i just checked n whoa.. Lots of old licences n certificates in my memory card n phones memory.. Cant delete them.. Formatting also isnt helping... Can anybody help?

The CDA should be the one above that.

dunno if this was done before, but...

"Hi Jasieq, translate it to English please. I've been on R1EA037 for 2 months and had no BROD yet. I think I know how to prevent BROD. Every time you turn off your K850, you should remove the battery for a while before turning it on. Also if you remove your M2 or copy files to M2 (when your phone is on), or just when your K850 turns off itself, you should do the same. I think it's the wayto prevent the BROD."

Today I had my second reboot happening in the exact same circumstance, that is after recording some video, so I start wondering if this happened to anybody else? Shooting video (doesn't matter for how long), pressing the camera button to stop recording - bam! reboot, and everything you shot - gone?

[rant]
This phone and its software follow no pattern. People are complaining about missing HSDPA option in their menu with R1FA, mine only started showing it AFTER updating to R1FA. I had a few recharges since updating - the first one showed 100% and I was glad that the 99% bug was solved, next couple of times I charged it - 99%. The camera lens cover started to misbehave and doesn't always open. From what I read, this WAS solved in the past. I don't get it. It's like every K850i user has to go trough this ordeal and experience all the s*it SE is throwing at us, no matter what FW version.
I am sooooo sorry I took SE for granted. That will never happen again.
[/rant]

Please look over my first question at the beginning of this post one more time and only reply to that.
K850i was the SE's most superb phone. And failure.

no you are just lucky, it's random for all I know and read, my first BROD all I did was plug the phone to charge after 2 months of the same use everyday, " I dont even use it like some people here, I just use the phone 30 mins a day for a phone call"

all I did was plug the charger, lucky me
