The Euro Lottery this past Friday night was a whopping £120 million...the chances of winning was estimated at one in 75 million.
Makes me think of Jim Carrey as Lloyd Christmas in Dumb and Dumber: "So you're saying there's still a chance...!!!"
BTW, there's a funky short 'rap' by George Bush on myspace. If you're able to check it out, it can be found here:

Yeah, I'm gonna hit the sack now too.
Got plenty to do tomorrow...er later today.
'Nag John-Boy, 'nag Mary Ellen, 'nag Jim Bob, 'nag oupa...(lol, I couldn't stand The Waltons... I think watching a David Attenborough documentary about the life cycle of an amoeba would've been more stimulating for me back then... )
Sleep well, mense.

If you were faced with a choice between an iMate k-jam and a Palm Treo 650, which would you choose?

@ Kryptik,
That's very easy to answer: the K-JAM anyday.
OK, they are 2 different operating systems, (Windows Mobile 5.0 v/s Palm)but check the net and you'll find far more third party applications for the K-JAM. (a place like http://www.coolsmartphone.com is a good place to start...)
Both have expandable memory obviously, although the K-JAM uses mini-SD's.
The K-JAM has wi-fi. Treo 650 not.
It has Bluetooth 2.0, the Treo has the older Bluetooth 1.2 version.
(2.0 is backwards compatible with the 1.series. The main enhancement is the introduction of Enhanced Data Rate (EDR) of 3.0 Mbps. This has the following effects:
3 times faster transmission speed (up to 10 times in certain cases).
100 metre range
Lower power consumption through a reduced duty cycle.
Simplification of multi-link scenarios due to more available bandwidth.
Further improved BER (bit error rate) performance. )
The K-JAM has a 1.3mp cam with flash compared to the VGA of the Treo.
It is both lighter and smaller than the Treo.
It has my beloved touchscreen input, which..well you get the picture.
It also comes with much more RAM memory.
Both have QWERTY keyboards, although the K-JAM's slides out behind and along the length of the phone.
Where does the Treo win?
Longer battery life and bigger processor.
Lastly, here's a neat comparison from gsmarena:

Enjoy.

Thanx boet, very nicely explained too... The reason why i ask is that i was offered a good deal on a one month old K-Jam, the proverbial "offer too good to refuse". I ultimately took it, with a healthy discount included since i drove a few klicks out of town to collect it. The Treo which had been offered by a local independent cellshop owner was going for the same discounted price, i.e. R1750, but not in as good a nick as the imate.
So ja, i bought it, played around with it for a whole 5min before forcing myself to put it away and concentrate on work instead. Will really get to grips with it after the 5th when i'm on holiday
Coolsmartphone.com you said, hmmm? Going to start bookmarking that and other decent sites... If you guys come across any sites which would be of interest, post the links plz, time much too limited to go hunting now, lol

It's another glorious day here...it looks almost like Summer! There's not even a need for a coat or warm top for outside at the moment...this has gotta be the mildest November here that I can recall.
@ Kryptik,
You've bought something other than a Nokia?!? LOL, congrats on your new, very capable smartphone, and welcome to the touchscreen fold!

Thanx for the links, boet
My Singaporean buddy and i have been debating the Nokia/SE/Windows Mobile thing for some while via email now. We've both been intending to buy SE as our next phones, but he beat me to the punch with his K750i so i'll have to hang in there until July next year when vroulief's contract comes up for renewal.

@kryptik: Congrats on getting the K-Jam...a vast difference from Symbian? Don't know much about the Treo 650 but I found it's predecessor garbage when I reviewed it just over two years ago.

Thanx Brix. From what i've seen, it doesn't appear to be vastly different from Symbian, not radically, at any rate.
Wanqa, vasbyt boet
it's that time of the year again- scripts marked, schedules prepared, most of the admin done, so all that now remains is to get our planning meetings done...

Talking about that, my brother is busy marking the final of the exams. He found a cheater, and they did not even do a good job of hiding it. In fact, they did not do anything to hide it! The worst, the guy involved is going to be a prefect next year. What ticks my brother off though is the fact that the principal of the school probably won't do anything. At least he is failing computer science...
Had a good weekend. Will maybe post some pictures later, just have a stack of work to do right now. Our company is getting incredibly busy all of a sudden. The holidays will also bring with it a huge load of work due to schools being closed and us being involved with networking at 1 or 2...
yawn!
