Just got myself a K750i the previous weekend. It rocks! It's my first Sony Ericsson phone though I've been on Esato for a pretty long time now. Now I know what I've been missing out on. I'd have gotten myself one earlier, but was attracted to the Symbian phones and got myself a Nokia 3230 before this. It was great too, but it started to reboot by itself recently and I figured it was about time to get the K750i.

I got mine on contract for about US$126 and it was the best US$126 I spent. I'd actually been doing quite a bit of research on Esato regarding the K750i ever since it was released. Esato's a great site, there's no denying that. I'm also very impressed by the very knowledgeable members here. There are people from all walks of life and despite our very different cultures, I have found a tightly-knitted community here in Esato. It's the only forum I frequent and it's seen me through plenty of boring duties back when I was still in the army, heh...

Anyway, the camera on the K750i is really good for a camera phone and audio playback is brilliant even with the stock earphones. I bought a fastport-3.5mm adaptor and am using it with a pair of Philips in-ear earphones. My Creative Zen Neeon's bass doesn't even come close!

One of the first things I did was to download MyPhoneExplorer and I must say it's a really fantastic program and I have not encountered any problems using it with my K750i so far.

And also Opera Mini from mini.opera.com. It instantly boosts the capabilities of any phone.

It also helps that my notebook has a built-in MS card slot for the times when I need to transfer huge amounts of data. Ok, so I'm only using a 512MB MS Pro Duo, but it's sufficient for now since I've got a 5GB Zen Neeon. Maybe when the price of the higher capacity Memory Sticks fall to a more affordable price, I'd get one.

All in all, K750i + Esato + Fastport-3.5mm adaptor + 512MB MS Pro Duo + Opera Mini + MyPhoneExplorer = A very happy me.

Ok, I understand this post isn't exactly a review nor does it serve to provide any information that isn't already available, but I simply had to share my joy with my fellow Esatonians. Perhaps if any of you wish to express your experiences with the K750i, you could add to this thread? Cheers!

I'd dispute that. What about the W810? That's even better IMO. Teaked versions of both.
Then we have the K800...

W810? Seriously? No lense cover, not compatible with FAR etc etc are the little things it has. K750 had the whole package.
K800? Seriously? Worse sound quality than K750.

Well, I think all the phones you guys have mentioned are great phones in their own ways. Personally, it was the K700 that first turned my attention to SE phones. Next, it was the K750 that reaffirmed what I saw in the K700. Of course, that's just my own opinion, but I believe that two phones may have been the turning points to many SE converts.

@shaliron, it's deluded, heh... Anyway, now that I've seen what SE phones can do, I'm almost certain I'm never going back to N*kia. What really impresses me are the little things that make SE phones so much easier to use and it makes me wonder why they aren't in other phones in the first place.

The K750i is still an excellent phone, despite now being over a year old in design. I haven't had chance to play with a K800i yet so can't comment on that, though want one!

I currently use a W810i as my main phone, and yes it is an improvement over the K750i and W800i, but is only a small improvement overall. And I agree, the lack of a camera lens cover is a small but actually quite annoying omission. Despite being very careful with my phone, and despite the rest of the phone being literally unmarked after 2-3 months use, the camera lens has STILL gotten some scratching on it, and the multicoating on the lens is actually starting to wear away by the looks of it! Perhaps I'm being paranoid and cleaning the lens too much, but because of it's location it gets fingerprints on it that need cleaning off.

I am quite tempted to get another K750i with something like a broken screen to fix and use, I do miss that lens cover!

@Sammy_boy, that is exactly one of the reasons why I decided to go for the K750i instead of the other SE phones. The camera slider is one of the nicest looking I've seen and it serves to protect the lens as well. The K800i has a slider cover too, but it feels a little flimsy im my opinion.

@leeboy13, I think you've made me a little paranoid about my lens cover breaking. Heh... Guess I'd better be more careful with my phone now.
