.........

I think that the phone must have caused them lots of headaches

Nooo!!! The ones that suffered the headaches were the victims that PAID for it...NOT the ones that made a PROFIT out of it!!!

Update available (on SEUS) for that goofy APAC-ANZ, CHINA FW, phone that is located in Plano, TX, North America. Updating as we speak (not sure if I should be on here while I'm doing it, since I've read that you're supposed to do nothing else while updating).

I'll respond back here when I'm all done.

Edit:I've upgraded...have the new FW...doesn't seem all that different, but then again, I JUST unplugged my phone, so I haven't done anything on it except check the FW version. Guess I'll just have to mess around with it and see what's new and all.

The design is kinda awkward though - the front panel lacks style, if you'd ask me...

ok my turn

Nikon D50 ISO 400 + flash

K850 can produce good flash pics as well.
(a little tip to get better flash pics is to tilt the camera down maybe 10-20 degrees, then the flash concentrate its light more on the object).

distance ~2m (no edit)

Hey,

I just bought this phone and am still stuck with R1DA038 and says it's the newest version available. Is there any way i can update this some other way? The battery life is shocking. It's empty pretty much by the end of the day.

Thanks in advance,

Wouldn't get a motorola in my life. Hate their ugly UI, and hate their ugly "FLAT" designs.

What keeps me coming back to SE is their UI. And above average design.. lol.

Anyways, I've noticed improved battery life in R1FA035... I have no scientific means to prove this, but it definitely feels like this phone is going to last a while before I have to charge it again.

i got sick of waiting for o2, so flashed with davinci, which also unbranded the phone, the volume buttons now display the phone status instead of actually changing the volume on the standby screen which is good , firmware feels faster and battery life is improved quite a lot for me, my normal battery drain is roughly 30% a day (morning-evening), in the same time its only gone down 10% since ive flashed, so thats a big improvement for me

Not that I don't appreciate seeing pictures, but honestly, they belong in THIS forum, not the FirmWare thread!!! I am keeping update with the k850i firmware, and would prefer that if I want to view pictures and picture comparisons, that I could visit the Pictures taken with a k850i thread, not this one. I don't appreciate having the pictures and the bandwidth forced on me, when I'm looking to read about firmware. And I don't want to be forced to sign off just so the images are blocked.

@rdnymll... You could always use Opera as your browser.οΎ It has one neat little function with one click - "NO IMAGES" :-)

Well since this is the k850i overview thread for the things fixed or not fixed, then hmmm, the poor camera quality was one of the things messed up for a long while. So I would think that this would be the right thread for it. There arent many pictures throughout 569 pages, so a few arent going to kill anyone, and if your on dial up then maybe you shouldve spent money on a high speed internet connection rather then an expensive phone, lmao. No offense but there arent that many pictures in this thread for it to be a "bandwidth hog".Just my thoughts.
