why i cannot upgrade my firmware although i have R1EA031??not even 038 and seus it says that i already have the latest firmware installed??whats wrong?is it my pc or the phone??please help me... |

where can i find this??
when i enter hidden menu it sais:R1EA031 prg2004400_GENERIC_SO R1EA031 EROM:1200-4341 SEMCBOOT R6A008 ITP 1200-2896 R1D131

From standby, press D-pad right, *, D-pad left 2 times, *, Dpad left, and *. It will bring you the Software info. Post it here. The CDA is under 'customisation'. For example 1201-8437 R11A APAC-ANZ |

Your CDA is of the correct combination. Nothing's wrong with it. It's just SEUS that hasn't updated it yet. It may be locked to any operator or branded?
If you can't wait, you may change CDA to the 'SEUS-friendly' one like CDA 1202-5694 WESTERN-EUROPE or 1201-8437 APAC-ANZ via Davinci or KulanKendi. |

How much does it cost to change your CDA? Is it safe?
Still no update for O2-UK 
EDIT: OK, I think it will cost £8.30. If I live in the UK should I choose this K850i R1FA035 CID52 CUSTOMIZED UK/ BLUE WESTERN-EUROPE?

I choose the cust uk one. However i had probs with it as i lost my little g and e. I then choose the united kingdom green one not any customised ones and its loads better. Every thing works fine.

Please help me. I'm desperate. I can't update my phone. I already downloaded the firmware but when it is being installed in my phone it says, "Upadate Failed."
I don't know what's wrong with my phone. I did follow the tips in firmware updating. But I still got this error message.
It's the first time it happened to me. When I updated from 31 to 37 it went smoothly.

The top one (UK Velvet) is stock UK Generic. Its a barebones release that comes with all generic phones.
The bottom one (Customized) is stock UK Generic with added media. It comes with extra ringtones, themes, wallpapers, demo tour.
Update to Customized UK, it has more media which might be useful. |

masada1971 - What did you use to flash to generic before?.
rss_ndsrn - Your best bet is uninstall update manager, restart the computer, reinstall update manager. Remove and reinstall the batter from your phone and try again. If it fails, I would just suck it up and pay the money from Davinci:( |
