One simple Question

Capuchin = A300????????

as said by m-one, each is a project by it's own

the question is will A300 has Capuchin or it will be added later ?

EDIT : considering the press release of Capuchin , this will be released in 2H, and AFAIK both Patty & Shiho ( wich are supposed to be the first to have OSE A300 ) will be released in 2H too ( late Q3/early Q4 depending on wich phone )

I hope they make a phone which fully supports multimedia functions and takes them seriously. SE advertise the X1 as a multimedia device, highlighting the 30fps VGA recording and the screen specs, and theres nothing wrong with that. But I want multimedia superiority across the board; in every menu, every detail, every feature, every user interaction. Therefore, additions such as flash lite (3?) via this capunchin project and moreover the seamless integration of this with java is a must for such an experience to be possible. I want the specs as well as the end user experience. Like oddie mentioned, some PDA functions such as document viewing/editing would be welcome too.

@Beta-tester, so what you are implying is that the user will be able to use gesture controls with A300. This is another very welcome feature

Go SE! Let the storm roll on!

From the Unofficial Sony Ericsson Blog:
Sony Ericsson plans to make this technology available in second half 2008 (new phones!!), and will demonstrate the technology at the JavaOne Developer Event in San Francisco, May 6 – 9, booth 718 in the Pavilion.

http://blog.se-nse.net/2008/0[....]ite-project-capuchin/#comments

Can that mean a announcement may be between 6-9th May as expected by many of us here??? Also, as said by (maybe goldenface, don't remember who), it will be a year since P1 was announced the same time last year... So, can this be Paris's announcement??? Chances are too few though as this is JavaOne Developer Event...

About Patti, the features set sound really good for a walkman, 5mp autofocus with photoflash!!! Thanks a lot for such nice information Goldenface... Now I see some hope for SE... I just hope it sound much better than all the walkman phones announced so far, i.e., the sonic sound experience as it should be, loud and great... And if the sound and camera are both good in performance in this phone, then I can say that SE have indeed come back on track...

If I am not mistaken I think Sony Ericsson will reveal a touch screen media phone with the new A300 or Capuchin.
Because, as you know touch screens is the latest trend in mobile world

If Patty and Shiho are announced together then the flagship Cybershot will more than likely be a step up from the 5MP Walkman. 7MP anyone? :-)

The camera functionality looks great, but the difference in quality compared to the Nokia is night and day.

Goldenface that sounds correct. Hopefully Shiho gets back the Xenon flash too along with an LED for dark video recording and flashlight use.

7mp would be cool, but I'm really just looking for a better quality lens and all that fancy camera stuff that I don't know much about.

^ Yeah I wouldn't mind a better (much better) 5MP sensor in Shiho rather than an average 7MP one.
The Walkman with 5MP and photo flash sounds interesting.
