You will need to remeber that even though your phone has S-ASIA. it still all depends on the country and your network (If its a branded phone)
I live in the UK and have a O2 - Western Europe phone However this is still on R1EA031.
However UK - Western Europe is now on R1FA.
The CDA is the most important thing that youy need to look at.
You can get this from your service menu. |

mine is unbranded and i updated it twice via SEUS. 1st from --CA037 to --EA031 and then to --EA037...
so i think there's nothing wrong with my CDA.
i'm still confused coz a few guys who've S-ASIA-LEVAN have updated to the latest firmware.. (as i remember, one was from india.)
Why dont SE put the firmware on SEUS for all countries/regions at the same time?

Your CDA will be fine.
Its just that SE will not have put your update on yet so dont worry.
The other person that may have updated could have a different country phone with S-ASIA.
There isnt just one phone with S-ASIA thats all.
The following countries use the same language but all have different CDA's
CUSTOMIZED IN (INDIA)/S-ASIA-LEVAN
CUSTOMIZED MENA ARABIC/S-ASIA-LEVAN
CUSTOMIZED MENA LATIN(B)/S-ASIA-LEVAN
CUSTOMIZED MENAA/S-ASIA-LEVAN
MENA LATIN/S-ASIA-LEVAN
Even though that it may say S-ASIA or Western Europe etc.
If the country for the phone hasnt been put on or the network branded phones havnt approved it then it still wont update regardless of the country.
SEUS looks at a uniqe CDA number, which tells the server to look for that paticular firmware (nothing to do with countries)
Hope this helps people |

The above CDA (CDA12345678/123) i beleive is a gerneral version.
So im not sure if SEUS sees this.
Did this come with the phone? Or has it been debranded?
@Warrentaye - I beleive that the US firmware on SEUS havnt been put on yet. Sorry

Personally, I think this firmware is the k850's retiring one. Doesn't seem to be that buggy, its quick, its reliable and it does the job. SE job done, still pining for those new features though |

Even though i also think this one might be the last, it's NOT quick and i still believe a new camdriver is a must |

I don't think its the last.
Arguably,
This firmware is for anti BROD purposes.
We our currently in a bad weather today.
Maybe its the reason apac-anz is delayed...
Just maybe. |
