I guess you haven't been reading the past 20 pages or so because they are PACKED with what others have found with this new firmware. Go back to 520 and start reading and you'll see what others have said ALREADY. |

When you listen to music via KDplayer the phone is still responsive enough to do something else on it |

I think the menu UI speed is not going to change, it looks like it is inherent to the A200 platform.. even the C902 videos I've seen have this lag.
As for other "speeds"... I don't really multitask w/ my phone, so I haven't stressed it out yet. Perhaps I will soon just to see firmware differences
You should really read the C902's thread. Even a mobile reviewer said that using the C902 is a breeze. |

My take on the new firmy (adriatic)
the media player is faster: playlists load in the player much faster, when autorotating while playing a video the video catches up with the sound much faster (it did before too), scrolling through the current playlist also faster
The rest, same'ol...
Ah, and already two soft reboots, both while playing music... Seems that the media player optimisations are not coded well enough
Certainly an improvement over ea037 (which gave me two BRODs)

Hmm I suppose, I just read it. Not much solid proof there, wish there was though. The C902 also comes with its own fair share of faults though... from what I read, the sliding mechanism scratching the phone, purple fringing in pictures like w/ the K790/K800. Sucks... was planning to dump the K850i for that if it was truly a better phone. Not gonna shell out 2x the price of a K850i for a C902 tho

Well, I don't expect much from the C902's camera because of its slim formfactor. But the UI seems to have improved a lot.
Jmcomms, who've used the C902, said that while listening to songs via a stereo bluetooth headset, it is not slow anymore if you want to browse the phone. Yeah, the price is high, but it'll go down in a few weeks.
I just hope the next firmware, which might be the R3, would be able to improve it a lot so that its performance will reach the performance of the C902. |

STOP saying this FW is faster or slower!!!
You have 4 different FW 029/037 old/031/ and 037 new
Each of those FWs have a different speed,so for people who had 039/037 old and upgraded to R1F they will feel it much faster,BUT for people who had 031 or 037 new, they will fell it the same...
So stop saying that people are lying about the speed

Alot have been said from this morning to now ......battery life is definitely better but bluetooth connection still disconnects and reconnects from time to time. so far only had one reboot
And to you (dante_sparda) thanks for the mp4 tips my converter was way off thanks again mp4 working good now
I can safely say this firmy was just to rectify the mp4 player other than that same ol same ol |

Had the firmware for a week now and so far no reboots at all. I did lock up the phone ones and had to pull the battery - Opera mini in background, media player playing over bluetooth and doing something in the main menu don't remember what any more.
