Yeah but you know what? The brakes don't work Still, it's your choice...
Could the delay be due to the fact that SE is updating specifications? Nah, that's just wishful thinking....
P990i: A mistake, a curse and a disgrace So I lowered my expectations and settled for a P1i. I couldn't keep my expectations so low for a long time so now I have an HTC Touch HD |

I'm already somewhat dissappointed though, laurenk, as the lack of a good flash on Paris (if the pic m-one made available is anything to go by) is not acceptable for me. Some of my hopes lie with the Playstation phone, Shiho and whatever other UIQ devices may surface, though. |

Hmm, the storm that was about to come, has it arrived? Did I miss anything? What was that clue about? Or is the storm coming in May?

@Tiger: If you're big into imaging, I could see how it may be a disappointment (though we don't actually know how the flash will perform yet). Personally, I am not a hardcore cell phone picture-taker, though I do like a quality shooter, but the flash isn't really a top concern for me.
Shiho really does sound great, so maybe that'll be the all-rounder some people are waiting for, minus the touchscreen of course. But if it has GPS and WiFi like rumors are saying it will, along with the camera...it may be a solid contender. If it were UIQ, I would get Shiho in an instant...but it is not.

I think i heard someone say that shiho was touchscreen because of touchfocus, found in g900. |

Reeeeeeaaaaally?
Touchscreen on A2? Is that possible?
Hmmmmmmm...if that turns out to be true, I'm definitely getting Shiho. |

If there's gonna be a storm then it will be in this summer starting in may.
Since when is the camera such an important factor by cell phones. You don't buy a high-end phone just to take pictures . In my opinion a decent 3.2 mp cam is enough for a phone.

Wouldn't that be a waste of a touchscreen? Using it only for the touchfocus. Unless it's TOUCH A200
EDIT: then again - remember the z550 touch-screen internet version? HMMM...
I am unexpressively happy shiho will be a200(or a250-whatever) instead of UIQ- I know it gets better every round- but my friend's w960 is S L O W (even with the newest firmware).
I want a zappy, mp3 grinding, picture slurping !

Im with you there. Still, we have to see what is revealed.
Im not much of a imaging enthusiast myself, but if I buy a high end device, I want the functionality to be there. In general, you cant call it (Paris) a N96 killer for one or two odd improvements; it has to be an improvement across the board IMO. |

Perhaps true, but some people (myself included) do not own a standalone digital camera and rely on my phone exclusively for picture-taking. Though as I said, I do not take pictures often. |

Thats the first I had heard about touchfocus on Shiho - it will be confirmed or not soon enough no doubt.
Regarding 'Paris' I think it is worth contender for its segment but just that. I'm viewing it as a beefed up P1i rather than a mighty good allrounder so I am not expecing fantastic imaging features.
There are several Xperia X1 pictures released that looks great and if 'Paris' takes snaps anything like that then its certainly good enough for most I think.

Me too. I don't know if I believe it or not, but I guess it would make sense--if Shiho is the Cyber-Shot flagship (which it is) and touchfocus is the newest push (which I suppose it is) that may be evidence for it to be included. Dunno, though. It would be nice.
ETA: AND m-one (I think it was him) said Shiho has a similar formfactor to the Prada, which is touchscreen. Hmmm...

Manual focus is stil better IMHO, touch-focus is more of a marketing thing (it's still a good upgrade to the sometimes painful a/f though)

Well, yeah, I'm not really jazzed about touchfocus as much as I'm jazzed about the remote possibility the phone may be touchscreen. |
