I think they change their design concept every 3 generations, so probably new design for V series .
hopefully they do change the design. it's really boring now.

With current amount of stuff phones pack, impossible Arc design. |

I read somewhere that the external gaming fan only fit 1 iv. If you brighten the video, you see the accessory attached to a phone.
Another perosn on weibo claims the misterious phone 1" (imx903) + 1/1.3" (803) + 1/1.7" (557) is xperia, and that would be F1.4 to F4.0 with many options between like Mate 50 series. Also elements 2G5P.
I only believe when I see it. Sick of fake posts all over internet.

Yeah that's not happening. I could see new 1IV PRO upgrade to have IMX903 but there is no chance in hell they would swap out current 1IV UW and Telephoto for anything else. |

Yep, making a camera setup that big is gonna have negative effect on the phone. Less battery, less cooling, thicker phone, worse signal reception due to no space for good RF hardware (I experienced it on Xiaomi 12S Ultra)
However, the next most expensive Xperia will have a new camera trick (or two, I cant confirm that now) |

Easy to solve .
1) slap micro matrix there. Cut each bezel 3-4mm and increase screen to 6,7".
2) make phone thicker like 9,2mm. Does not matter if weight is too much like iphones. XZ2P was as well.
3) new 3-layer tech to boost light sensitivity
4) polar sense to remove reflections
5) LTPO 2.0 in case battery needs to be decreased.
6) order curved cmos
People like to show off. If they could sell units of Pro at almost $3000, they can surely slap tag $2100 on a next "pro-i" and still there will be people willing to pay. Let BoM reach $900-1000 if necessary , but put what ppl want.

I feel so glad my suggestion of 70-200mm seems to have been considered. Thank you sony staff.
One more for the list.
Eye AF ✅
Eye AF for video ✅
20fps like A9 ✅
Earphone jack return ✅
White glass like Z series ✅
Front speaker return on mark 2 ✅
I have been more useful than some ppl there. Still havent seen single dollar in my wallet. 😒
Sony, I accept $2000/month for the job.
So, gossips point to : Pro-i 2 with 1" , while 1 and 5 mark 5 with 1/1.28".
If people in charge of development are in Japan, how can ppl in China know so much about it to speak on weibo?

I would love for there to be a new gaming phone, however, I'm not getting my hopes up.
Its just that, now that 5G is up and running, and PlayStation Plus has its streaming services running, it looks like the perfect time to introduce a device that can take advantage of this and stream games on the go.
We can download games to the console from the streaming service, why not to mobile?
It seems like they're willing to bet on the future of mobile gaming. I guess we'll find out tomorrow.
