@gbrooks.... i dont know. that is bamboozled me.... i aint bak in work till tuesday now  so i cant find out till then... will giv someone a shout tomorrow see if they can shed some light but until then i'd use your voda sim and enjoy all the benefits of vodafone live! powered by 3G like, overpriced ringtones and wallpapers.... really dodgy 24 mobisodes that really dont tell a story.... or football highlights which r a few days behind the matches goin on! All are highly fun and entertaining and at ridiculus prices! so enjoy... or u could download some mp3's at the cost of £1.50 each and then NOT use them as ringtones coz voda dont want to u gain any enjoyment out of them! just your money please! KACHING!
Lol. sorry bout that... ppl. a momentory glitch in the system.... nah i'll find out soon an let u know.... i havent got an idea... sorry.

Yes i will continue to use voda services but i would like to know why this happening, so maybe your can turn private investigator for a day???
edit:
one point i forgot to mention which kind of points the finger at voda lol. When selecting what network i want int the "select network" menu, net to o2 is a big voda live icon. lol - why it is there i havent a clue.

Hi, i'm new to these forums, and to SE phones, so am hoping for a little help and info on the V800, which i am thinking of buying on vodafone in the uk.
Firstly, what is the difference between the v800 and v800i? Is it worth paying extra for the v800i?
Secondly, i've read people mentioning de-branding the phone. How is this possible, and does it completley change the look/style of the software on the phone?
If its done with a software replacement/flash, does this cause any legal problems with the vodafone contract?
And is there any risk in screwing up the phone and not being able to restore it to normal, as there is when you flash a pc's bios?
I've done a search for these questions, but not come up with anything.

welcome! congratz on havin a question tat no one has eva asked b4.. well there is no such thing as v800i anyway... only V800 (uk) and 802SE (japan).. basically theres no any major differences... about the rest i leave it to the more experience on debranding..

This may sound silly but here goes anyway:
1) Are you sure the phone is unlocked
2) Are you sure your O2 sim works at all (no calls barred, no calls redirected etc)

@gbrooks... my boss knows about esato... there was a communication sent out about someone from voda handing out info about phones and services the other wekk 
I couldnt stop grinning coz everyone was like "he's got balls whoevers doin it!"
YAH I GOT BALLS! two big ones! and two big fingers stuck up to the big wigs gettin bonuses of about £20 million each year for everyone elses hard work!!!

Yes, i am sure. An orange SIM works perfectly so i am lead to believe it is a problem with o2.

I av never tried eatin snakes but yeh i played it an i got loads of camo stuff so i might go underground for a bit.... nope jon aint ma real name... its the name of ma grandad that i use on the net... coz there r loads of jons in the world so its very anonomous as names go....

neway to make this comment about the v800 as this is a v800 discussion.... my White V800 IS STILL WORKING! ITS BEEN MORE THAN ONE WHOLE WEEK SINCE I LAST SWAPPED IT! what have i done different? I am not using my 512mb duo jus the 32mb one that came with it! i reckon it was that that was killin them! so b aware! my psp now has a nice nearly new 512 card and is happy as a fully charged psp on a train!

Hmmm seems you had unfortunate luck with the 512MB Pro Duo's....i have had mine in the V800 for about 2weeks now and no problems...

haha i see u hv been playin mgs3.... im playin it for the 2nd time.. u know tryin out different senarios and 'what ifs'.... about the 512MB i had mine for 2weeks too... so far so gd.. im usin sandisk no problems there... looks like som1 has a complete collection of all the latest SONY products... and jon when ur playin the PSP dont go playin it ard the vodafone marketing area... i dont want to see som1 playin it and say..."lets customise PSP for our PSP consumers" hahaha....

I see it now.... Sony PSP Powered by Vodafone Live! and Sony Playstation 3 Powered by Vodafone Live! With red cases and vodafone logos on all sides of the console! what a beauty it would look like!!!

I think you should be very carefull mate, for the simple reason that you kinda narrow yourself down quite alot..eg your exchanging of phones..and then you recently bought a psp (probably the only person at voda that has one) you travell to your home in xxx etc etc and the list goes on and on..
If I am not mistaken you have a blog of your rantings hahah you better be very carefull unless you dont really dont give two fooks (as you would call it) about your job.
