Slightly annoyed that the update hasn't materialised.

I find it ridiculous that SE have released a phone that doesn't work properly. I've had the K700, K750 & K800 and never had one single problem with any of them. How can they make the camera so that the flash doesn't go off at the right time?!!

I've currently got f/w 037 on my phone. Was the camera flash problem in place on f/w 029?

Another possible bug, not sure if it's firmware specific though.... quite a few times when I try to unlock the phone by pressing the * key first, the keypad stays illuminated but the screen doesn't turn on. There is no way from then to use the phone without having to turn it off and back on, or even worse, pull the battery.

Still no update (even 037) for T-Mobile UK

I'm also getting the random reboot problem some others mentioned, along with not being able to access Google Mail, check my e-mail or access T-Mobile a/c pages (just examples) without it reproducibly rebooting. Have held off on doing a master reset at present as didn't want to reload everything only for an update to come out.

Sadly this is the worst shipping SW I've experienced with any of my SE phones (T18, T39, T68, T650(?I think!), K700, K750, K800, K850)

Alan

if you think the screen is buggy when trying to unlock the phone, wait till you observe the many different ways it auto locks (quite at random too):
1. Lock comes on, all lights flash on/off then screen saver plays with keypad lights on.
2. As above, but keypad lights not on.
3. As in 1, but lights remain on and steady, no flashing on/off.

I would guess that the update we've all been waiting for is the 037 firmware as I updated my O2 phone today and it already had 037 and has flashed it with another 037 but the dates on the firmware's are different.

I reckon this big update is 037, just a newer version! So far I have not noticed a single difference (still slow in places).

@DC:UK

The person I spoke to at Sony Ericsson earlier assured me there would be an update today so I would assume that when it appears, it will be a different version to 037.

I've jsut tried updating mine and got a message saying I already had the lastest software on it so will keep checking back on here for news.

@~DC:UK~, I have exactly the same version you are showing when I updated on SEUS a couple of weeks ago

edit: correction, it wasn't available on SEUS, it was an OTA update
