Problem - can't get to sign up with a Samsung account to access FOTA and check for updates? Help anyone? It just keeps saying processing failed...help

I just use Kies for updates.

But when I got the phone, the phone already has the latest firmware.

Thanks. This is frustrating. I can't sign in to a Samsung account and I am having a hard time determining whether I am adding the correct parts to Odin. This is my first time using it on a phone.

Question, does it work well or at all on XP?

Yes it works on XP. USB flash drivers must be installed before you can proceed with Odin. And remember to exit KIES manually before flashing with Odin. [addsig]

Thanks Buntoo. I am wondering if I have all of the drivers installed as I keep getting Samsung Mobile MTP device initialization in the system tray popping up over and over and Kies just says connecting.

Is it normal if my phone doesn't charge to 100%? The fully charged notification popped up but when I pulled off the cable, it's 97%.

seems to be normal for the GS2.
I usualy just unplug then plug it back in, it repeats that til it gets to 100%, funny enough when i charge it overnight the next morning after i unplug it its at 100%, so i guess if you leave it after it gives the fully charged ring it will eventualy get to 100%.

Haha, thanks.

Just got an update through Kies. After wrestling with the software (errors, errors galore!), I've managed to install the official KK3 ROM. I thought it's ICS until I went into Settings > About phone and it says "Android 2.3.6".

Anyway, not many noticeable changes, they've changed the dialer icon and the call screen (when someone calls you) is different.

Okay so here is a predicament for me. I bricked then unbricked me phone only to end up on 2.3.3 from 2.3.4. Now my phone displays everything in a sort of sepia like way. Camera, pictures display, everything.
I would like to update but Kies won't recognize (even before I tried updating) the phone, I can't get to sign up with a Samsung account and I am afraid to try to use Odin again but I want my beautiful display back how it was and would like 2.3.4.

Suggestions?

@skblakee: Don't worry mate. Just flash the correct files with Odin and the beautiful screen of your phone will be back. Check my reply on your other thread. Need any help? Tell here or PM me.

@Run_dawn10, Don't unplug right after it says battery is 100%. Give it some extra time (10-15min). Then unplug and it will be 100%

Seen it. PM if anything and send me the links to the download page for my correct files instead of the page on XDA. I already have Odin.

Is a Class 2 16GB microSD card sufficient for 1080p recording?
