SMan 1.4 bugs I've found:

1. "Disable hotkey" returns after a reboot (not critical, but annoying)

2. When receiving a call, if you "Send Busy" after a time period the Missing Call allarm plays as if I didn't answer the call (very annoying!)
It happened in a call with the number hidden.

Please fix this as soon as possible.
Thanks

Thanks for Sman dude! I hope it works better on my Orange branded P910i than v1.3 did - I constantly had to re-install it? Anyone come across this with v1.4 or did anyone find a solution to the problem with v1.3 which is not flashing the phone?

@dannyoneill
Awesome theme you have? May I have it? Or where can I get it?
If it is to be it is up to me!

Yeah, most icons in SMan suck.
In version 1.3 I installed an updated icons package, that fixed the problem (in part). Is is possible to do this in version 1.4?

Last link on right page.

I am very disappointed with the remark.

Also, the "Disable hotkey" option is only temporary. If you RTFM, you will know how to disable it permanently. Sorry, to upset to bother telling you how to do it now. Maybe later...

Ajack, Droll,

I was thinking, would it be possible to set up a similar system like this one here:

http://www.gnome.org/bounties/

I mean, whoever wants a new feature/module and is willing to pay the money for, just make up a bounty ticket, put the money down and anyone who solves it, gets the money.

I for one, would like to have a fully fledged SMS filtering service, either as a module/plugin in SMan, or as a separate app.

Come on, Ajack, face this.....

Majority of us love your software and cannot live without it. You should have seen the helpless face on us for the past week.

For every thing out there, I am sure there is some negative comments made like the one black sheep here. If it is not major, ignore it. As for this _LAU_ guy, if he is that F.... good, why not he design the software and icons all for himself using ur sourcecodes which were already released. No point telling the whole world what he thinks. A Man's meat is another's poison.

Like those out there, There are those who die by Bill Gate's Windows, swears by it as the last thing on earth. There are those who curse and swears about it, but does nothing more coz they cannot live without it. And there are those, who simply switch to a Mac or Linux.

Go figure. I think _LAU_ falls under the category of 2.....cannot live without it yet curse and swear about it.

Damn, fellas, don't worry, hey! You'll get a new stylish icons set next week, promise (I'm ModellisTa ). I've had already made it if only I wasn't at hospital now. As soon as I'm Ok, I'll make one (approximately Wednesday is final).
And I've successfully downloaded and installed it via my P910i, works Ok.

Just wanted to say thank you very much for a program that is so good - one can really tell that you have put many, MANY hours into it! Ignore those few pore comments and keep up the good work

Ajack I hope you're soon not so upset anymore so you can tell us all how to permanently disable the hotkey...

droll and ajack, thanks for this great application. My phone can't work as it should without your SMan. It would just be a memory hogging product which I would have to restart once or twice a day since I use a few apps which uses a lot of ram and don't release it as it should.

Well, im suprised. Normally people dont compliment somone on doing a good job, normally threads are full of complaints and general badness. but sman has recieved praise and people who dont read the manual saying how crap it all is why would you want to disable the hotkey anyway? Mine brings up sman, bluejack or just terminates the current app cos lets face it. the built in browser is useless making the buttons useless.

Sman is fanstastic. If you dont think so then you obviously havnt used the snapshot and flip close flush options.

What does mine do?

Well when i turn on it launches itself along with contacts, messages and calendar for fast access.

When i close the flip it flushes all from memory except the above and some others

terminate current app

file manager, very good one at that

and some other bits

the only features I would wish for it the ability to make snapshot 1 and 2. Assign one snapshot to flipclose and the other to a button (so one flushes everything from mem and the other just the crap)

And maybe the ability to assign the hotkey to launch another app.

but as it is it's still the most valuable app on my p900 and dont forget... ITS FREE!!!!! [addsig]

negative comments aren't always bad, __LAU__'s comments are constructive, they are no curses or swears. many programmers are happy to hear negative comments so they know how to improve the software.

if better icons will make sman use more memory then ill stick with them as is. SMAN is great because its small, it dosnt take over. Its here to save memory, not destroy it

Sman fcuking rocks dudes, you should give yourselves a huge pat on the back and im sure most people here would be happy to buy you a beer [addsig]

Hi Adrian

I would RTFM if I had one. As you know SMan 1.4 was not released
with a manual.
I didn't realize there is already a manual ou there, so my fault.

Second, the reason you gave to SMan capturing the key is not valid.
Have you ever thought I might have other application doing the same job?

I've been quite active trying to help people out there to create good icon pack for SMan, as you can thread in this topic:
http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=91968
And yes, I WAS thinking in creating my set of icons (if possible).

I contributed for SMan, by bug reports and support by e-mail. Both you and Droll know me.
I'm not the kind of passive guy that sees the problems and does nothing to help.

If you can not read some criticism, your good application will never get much better. And I think it deserves to be better, and I think it deserves a good icon set.

But that's just me...

Chill out and enjoy your P
