@nils7. How much do you guess Tom Tom UIQ + BT GPS Receiver will cost when they hit the shelves? Will the launch be the beginning of June?

Retail price will be around € 299,- for the benelux version don't know if it is different for other region.. you should compare that on expansys or something.

NILS7 - BIG picture

Will this run on P900 or P905? - or only P910?

Cheers

im guessing P910 only due to memory limitations. 66.com pulled 800 and 900 support from route 66 2006. [addsig]

It will run on P900* but you still have the 128 limitation.

*Note only P910i will be supported.

only p910 supported. thats means when it crashes or fails to work with p900 they just say upgrade. good that p900 owners have a choice though. [addsig]

If you get P905 upgrade though - you can use the larger memory sticks... Will this be enough? Presumably if it is designed to run on P900 the RAM situation should not create a problem???

Wondering whether to keep P900, upgrade to P905 - or sell up and go for P910i...

Cheers

You may be interested in this discussion I've been having with TomTom support. Can anyone clarify if these phones are definitely going to be compatible?

Me:
When will TomTom Mobile 5 be compatible with Sony Ericsson P910i phones? I've been told for several months that my phone will be supported but if this isn't going to happen soon I will be forced to buy the new version of Route 66, which is compatible with the P910i. I would prefer to buy TomTom Mobile 5 but I can't wait much longer.

TomTom:
Thank you for your email. Where did you get that information?
We are very sorry but your mobile phone seems not to be compatible with TomTom Mobile5. Please check the following compatibility lists.

Qtek 8060 8080

These mobiles are compatible with the new TomTom Mobile 5 software:
