Thought this title might get you looking.
I heard that tomtom mobile was available for symbian uiq in november/december.
Does anyone have their ear to the grapevine and know the latest? I'm desperate to get rid of my pocketpc (i only keep it for tomtom navigator) and move to my P910i only

I've tested TomTom Mobile for UIQ. For TomTom (have bug reports, everything)
I know how it looks, I know how it feels but I can't tell you about it....
Though it looks the same as this (very minor changes):
Wait for CeBit 2005 untill then you won't see anything about it!
Also route66 (www.66.com) will come with GPS navigation for UIQ!

nils, can you tell us if the UIQ TomTom will require a constant GPRS connection to the server, or will all the data be stored on the memory stick?
You don't even have to tell us, just give one cough for the former, and two coughs for the latter! |

Though tomtom traffic needs GPRS to load all the recent data for trafficjams etc.
Didn't test traffic .
Yesterday I was at a Smartphone Usersday and I could see all other programmes such as wayfinder etc. I have a lot of pics which I will upload here!

I'm hoping TomTom is a lot better than Wayfinder... I found, because Wayfinder loads all the data from GPRS, it takes forever to load/zoom in on a map... if it's all on the memory card, then that should make things a whole lot faster. |

i never tried wayfinder, because i don't want to download "instructions" by gprs, but i want to see a map of where i'm going.
now immagine if tomtom had a flip closed mode ...
