after having the phone for around 3 weeks, i can safetly say that i do not experience any of the problems read about in these forums
WELL the one thing i have noticed is the 2 key does get stuck, but only if done purposedly, but glitches andsuch havent come across any |

For the MMS, these are the settings I have on my P800 :
Service center address : mms.fido.ca
Wap account : Put Fido GPRS (or whatever your wap account is named on your handset)
Validity period : Maximum
Priority: Normal
Conformance: Standard
For some reason, Fido doesnt have an auto setup sms to configure this.
And it works for Fido numbers and email addresses...I do it daily. But its still not available for other numbers...

I'm from welland ontario. Thanks for the info have you ever downloaded games from handango? I tried last week and the txt does not make it to my phone and they have sent it to me 4 times. Has anybody had this problem before? I only want one game (snake) and this has been crazy. |

never got anything from Handango, so can't help you there...why do you need the txt file on the phone though? I thought all you needed was an .sis file...anyhow, ive gotten stuff from my-symbian.com and was able to install it without a problem...

go back a few posts, ESTOR had something interesting to say about Rogers MMS...his seems to be working, maybe you guys can compare settings or something...other than that, I don't really know...

not quite sure..a few days ago i tried sending one and the recipient got a link..i just sent one today and they got the actual picture

Hi sorry its me again .....i posted this a few weeks ago ...Hi all .....hope ive got right forum this time if not sorry........i'm hoping someone could advise me if I send a friend (i'm in UK ) who lives just outside Toronto a samsungV200 triband unlocked to any service phone will it work and if so where would be the best place to purchase a sim card over there?
Thanks in advance.. and the reply i got was well if your just sending it over then your friend can get a sim plan from any provider such as rogers or fido anyway my friend has the phone and when they try to use it it just says no service can anyone give me any idea what the problem might be please? |

Hi again,
Well, if it says no service, there is either a) Really no service (ask your friend to check the coverage map) or b) there's something wrong with the SIM...
As long as it's a triband, she should have access, tell her to have a guy @ a Fido store take a look @ it. Troubleshooting over forums can be unclear and time consuming.

if you havent already, also tell her to put one of her friend's SIM into her Motorola and see what happens...this will tell you wether the problem is with the phone, or the SIM.

Just got a Fido Alert a few days ago about new phones they will release (drum roll) :
2 Siemens (who cares, really? lol)
and
they're re-releasing the T616!
Why not a T630 or the K700? lol
