@illia: If you want to see a rather ugly face go and look at mine in that 'bathroom pictures' thread, about halfway through, wearing a 'cheap as chips' t-shirt! 
Mind if I vent my spleen a sec as well? I've just bought a secondhand T610 off Ebay quite cheaply, with a broken screen. I've duely replaced the duff screen, and after a damned good clean up (this phone looks like it's been through the wars a bit!) turned it on. Tried making a call. 3 beeps. Tried another sim card. It's just come up 'Invalid Mobile'.
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrgghhhh! 
THE BLOODY THING'S BLOCKED!!!!!!!!! *bangs head on wall repeatedly* Why can't people be honest for a change!!!??? I've now got a nice, pretty paperweight that plays nice tunes. Grrrrrrrrrr. Does anyone in another country fancy buying a T610, new screen, loadsa ringtones and themes, facia very scratched?

Have some hot tea people! My apologies we just ran out of coffee, Taster's Choice/Maxwell/Nestle's disgruntled employees just went on a month long strike (?) Starbuck's/Seattle's Coffee went bankrupt (?). Accdg. to Chinese proverbs, drinking hot tea is best for your digestive system!

@sammy_boy - My apologies here mate! But I did not able to read your 'dilemma' there in - full! My God, one of the things that I won't do thru the net, buying at ebay!!! I frequently buy 2nd hand fones for 2.5 years going. I frequent a shop near my place where I had a very close-personal friendly relations with it's owner. That's why when I do buy a fone with internal (software/hardware) problems, I can replace it in no time! That's the best thing I guess for buying fones having a face-to-face contact! I am into thinking of buying an SE Z600 this week, also an SE T610, but I am still awaiting for 'unit' availability - for a change, I'll be trying to put my fingers on an SE model fone again, my last was a T68i in June of 2003 - I completed the whole accessory set.
Now what are your plans with the T610, can't you return it back to the orginal owner - mate? How did you pay him, credit card? Can't you cancel the transaction, before the amount's been debited from your account? Just wish you all the best here mate - I sympathize with you . . .
About my sleeping habit, I ve been having a 3 hour overnight sleep for the past 2 years now, and I am used to it. I'm downloading huge items from the net - images/videos/mp3s etc. esato included. I'll be sleeping at around 9 or 10 at night, then be up by 1 am. Though I tend to get some afternoon sleeps -from 2 to 6 pm. Wheeeew, what a long story.

@jojo - I've often wondered if I can get friendly with some local phone shop, and see if I can buy faulty phones off them instead of Ebay. I've had these problems before - a also currently have a blocked 8310 as well.
I paid for the phone by PayPal, so unsure if I can get my money back or not. There is the possibility of course, even if it is a slim one, that the seller hasn't realised the phone's blocked e.g. reported the phone as broken, got a new one on his insurance, and this one's been blocked!
I'm not sure what to do with the T610 - I've just put a new screen on it - I can either sell it for spares only, or keep it myself and cannibalise it for spares for other T610s. There's always playing about with the IMEI, but that's quite illegal! Either that, or I might see if anyone on Esato's interested in it - it will work fine in other countries. It does need a new facia though, and a couple of keys need a some extra pressure to work....
Anyway, I'm threadjacking @gelfen's thread here!! Sorry mate! Hope you're fine anyway, and all's dandy down under!

@sammy_boy - Speaking of changing fones IMEIs, it is very common here in Manila for you to find one. I've asked once for the changing of the SE P800, and they told me that they can keep the fone running - again for just US$15.00 - very cheap indeed mate, I guess price is same with that of SE T610! All the illegal, counterfeits and fake items and even people at that, can be found here in my place! As they say . . . . 'only in the Philippines'!

I have to admit I've been wondered about getting it done despite it been illegal - I'm obviously a bit peeved that I've got another knobbled phone! 
Never mind eh! Worse things happen at sea they say.....
