Well, imo, apart from the screen and camera, Sharp can't go anywhere close to SE. But please stop comparing GX30 with T610. The true rival of GX30 should be S700 actually. Let's wait to see whether S700 can take a picture better than this or not. I'm using Sharp but I like SE either. Cheers.

I don't think there will be any GX32 officially sold in Europe since it is exclusive for Smartone HK (same as GX30 for Vodafone only).

You can backup, transfer pics and sounds you want to memory card and download on computer via card reader/writer. Other than that, agree the bluetooth is crap on this phone, but as for the camera........

They are very impressive pictures, but I think I will wait a little longer. If you look closely there is no small details, such as the blades of grass or the texture of the apple.
Compare these with a 1m pixel (proper) digital camera and you will be supprised.
Hopefully within the next few months the quality will improve as more companies join the bandwagon, such as Nokia, SE, Moto, etc.
Can't wait.
p.s. you are right it is not fair to compare with the t610. However I have to, because the t610 is my current phone and needs to be beaten before I upgrade. If only it was a little less wide.
A very good camera on its own doesn't do it for me, yet. |

Sure, it can't be argued if you compare to a real 1MP digital camera. Anyway, apart from the phone in Japanese and Korean CDMA market, GX30 is the best camera phone so far.

Well, come later doesn't mean better. From my experiences in CeBIT2004, I tested using every other MP camera phones and their picture quality didn't impress me much. It's far away from my GX30 can take. Hope it's just bacause of a prototype.

I understand your feeling. Me 2, if S700 (or others) can't beat my GX30 especially in term of pic quality. I'll hesitate to upgrade it as well.

I can understand ur complaints about the phone but ur sharp blasting is weak. Attacking sharp cos there a small company & have a compact range. In another post U'll all B slagging nokia off for the opposite reasons ie they release loads of phones and there a big company

I agree SE is a good phone but it doesn't mean other brands have to be a bad phone. Anyway, I bought GX30 since it's a good camera+phone.

pics are alright... but i saw a really neat docomo sharp phone a week ago .... omg!!! 1megpix camera - autofocus!!! and even the pix you put up here are shit compared to that phone... its amazing... the display is 3d and the pictures you make are also 3d... really neat stuff they have in nippon....

the pix here are really very nice, but for me the fone is a fone. camera is a camera. both together give a nice couple, even, i am for the old way, a camera should be an accesoire, not a built in feature. it reminds me on the hi fi gadgets. cd, tape, tuner etc all together in one box. is the one of them wrong, have to bring the whole s**t to the service. why to put everything together? the risk, that i couldnt use my fone cos the camera has a bug, would drive me crazy.

Are you talking about SH900i? It's 2 MP mate. Anyway, that means Sharp does make a good camera phone though. Thanks for supporting. Cheers
