i dropped my t68, the time and date, infrared all stopped working, sadly enough i have to sell the phone, i am lucky that the 2nd hand phone shop still want to buy my phone. thats how i replace it with a t630

Oh it's the reverse for me.
Ive lost my Motorola V525, selling my V60i (bad reception).
I miss my T610 (I traded it in for the V525).
Now i am back on the T68i.
Ordered a new housing with a volume slider! Yay!
I really didn't bother trying to use bt with my Motorola V525 but with the T610 (when I had it) had this weird crackling/caller echo sound. I know that with the T68i it would be flawless. I might actually enjoy being back
I have noticed however, that all these new phones are 90g and over!!! What happened to the anti-space/weight race? Phones were supposed looking small new and pretty.
Not that it makes a difference. My friend told me that I was going through a lot of phones. Consequentially I stupidily made a verbal contract that if i purchased a phone without her permission then i would have to buy her a gucci bag.

The T68i is probably the most popular "classic" SE phone out there. Still in use and still very good.

I have my T68i for 2 years now, my first  phone.
Coming from a 8210, it was HUGE improvement!!! I really LOVE it !
So many good features, BT, color screen to name some.... a beautiful design!
I didn't really care for the new crappy camera, and fancy ringtones, I a mthinking to upgrade since the T610, but didn't really see the point.
May be the K700 full of great multimedia feature... don't really need that...
May be the S700 with its great camera..... but bit bulky...and still not as good compared to same price real cam.
I'am using now almost all the great features of my lovely T68i, the agenda, sync with PC, BT headset, SMS, Email, WAP on Esato ;o), what else?... OHHHH! Bluejacking!!!!! still new stuff to do with it!
I need a really GOOOOOOOOOD reason to change it!!! |

I do. I have had my T68i since 31 May, 2002. The battery still works great - the AVERAGE standby time is over 8 days (and I never switch it off by nights).
PS. After T68i Sony Ericsson has not made any other good looking phone I would like to get. I don't need a mobile camera and all kind sounds, music/video players etc. I need small phone with nice /// design and powerful battery - it is T68i.
I would even prefer T68i with grey-scale display

Still have my T68 that I use on occassion which I still love. But the Menu button is starting to be unresponsive every now and then. But considering I bought this phone used, and goodness knows how the previous owner took care of it, I think it's doing well so far! Love the 2 LED lights. |

Switched off BT on my phone and had the firmware upgraded and it's worked just fine.

Dckl - how does t68i work at GSM 1900 in your opinion? Would you compare it with your another GSM-phone? |

I got my T68 as a gift when I turned 20, in april I'll be 23 Sadly a couple of months ago my T68 battery got really week and in addition I had problems making calls, either I couldn't hear the other person or they couldn't hear me.
But, all the 8 months I was in the army, it served me well. It was very small and easy to hide (we weren't always allowed to have phones with us) and the battery lasted ages (missed my girlfriend very much and we were on the phone whenever we could - talk about huge bills). Even when we were on operation Springstorm in deep forests, I always was able to make a call to my girl or sms . The signes of weaknes started just as I returned to civilian life, so it didn't let me down when times where tough.
Unfortunately T68m battery's aren't sold in Estonia anymore and have to be ordered, thus I decided to step up to T630. But it was the T68 that made me a die-hard SE fanatic. Now I'm equally fond of both my grey T68(i) and black T630, which with it's classic design is a worthy successor. I will always keep my T68 as a relic. |
