really suprised with the speed of the Brawn team. They are a clear 1/2 second or more quicker than the others.

Congrats to them.

Wonder what the results of the case against the Brawn cars will be. I think the hearing is April 14?

Well done to Jenson Button. I actually thought he was a useless driver, but hey, what do I know.

Wonder if he will be getting any of his £15million pay cut back?

Afaik, Button has always been a good driver, just in S*** cars. tbh no team other than ferrari or merc had a chance last year. Brawn is a top engineer and there is no doubt that he was responsible for many of micheal schumachers titles. He is a top engineer so the car should be good this year, and the tactics should be spot on. Let's just hope button can keep his head round the twisty street circuits.

GAME ON

so, Trulli gets demoted from 3rd to 12th due to a 25 second penalty for passing Hamilton during the safety car period. That gives Hamilton an extra point as he now moves from 4th to 3rd.

Toyota accept Trulli time penalty (BBC article)

This is one incident I feel McLaren and Lewis screwed up! Listening to Martin Whitmarsh trying to justify their actions irritated me cause it sounded like he was searching for excuses rather than accept their part in this mess.

I still hope they come good this weekend. I'm hoping for a win for Lewis even though Brawn looks good, and then there's Ferrari. It should be an interestting race.

Wow! A day after I wrote the above post someone at McLaren got suspended. Interesting.

Anyway, it did seem like Mclaren were clutching at the straws for me.

Relief for fans too.
Big kick in the nuts for Ferrari, which is ultimately what we all want.

Yeah, but they were the only arrogant bastards in the group of complainers.
No other team can compete with them on that front.

Arrogant bastards? Can you backup that?
The ones more upset with this decision were Renault, who tried to introduce something similar last year, and the FIA said it would be illegal.

Plus, what about the liar bastards who tried to get away without a penalty from the stewards?
Or the weasel bastards who, a couple of years ago, had plans of a rival team to help them develop their own car?

And I feel sorry for Renault, however, that was last season, pre-2009 regulations, and therefore, completely irrelevant to today. Cars last year had enough aero aids without the split level diffusers.

McLaren, they did lie, but they didn't get away with it AND, apologised in a way you would have never seen from a Ferrari driver or team principal. And even if they did lie, the stewards would have probably ruled in their favour.

And as for 2007, with the whole spy scandal, McLaren, again were punished beyond what I felt was reasonable. Yes, they let Lewis and Fernando keep their points, but the massive fine was extreme. And it would be good to point out that it was only Fernando and an engineer involved. No input or endorsement from Ron Dennis.

Backed up.
It's refreshing to see Ferrari not get their own way for the first time in 2-3 years.

I'm sorry but for me Ferrari are cry babies! They hate it when they don't get their way and resort to all sorts of silly attempts to get what they want. As much as I feel for Renault I believe Ferrari were the main players in this one. No a single point from 2 races and it looks uphill from here on they had to do something to salvage the situation.

Now, this sets Brawn up beautifully for another win this weekend. Good luck to them. As much as I would love for my lying team McLaren to win I just don't see a way out for them.

This season looks to be going to Brawn and what refreshing thought that is. The newcomers looking good for both titles.
