I hope there aren't any more night races for the far eastern races! It'll ruin the whole novelty of night races.

I just hope we have the same commentators on BBC, Martin Brundle, Mark Blundell, Louise Goodman etc

wouldn't be the same without them, but I've still not heard whether they'll be there. So far they havent mentioned the move at all. Maybe during the chit chat for the final race we'll here more

I can't wait for mentally deranged Bernie and his sidekick Max to pack up and leave the real decisions to sane folks.

I will be very glad of the non stop live action. Never understood why itv dont put ads in footy but do in f1. When they are the same length. As for the commentators i wouldnt mind a change. As for the night races im not a big fan. Only thing i like about them is cars look better under lights. Overall looking forward to it. Anyone know about bbc hd coverage. Ow i do hope so!

F1 head honcho Bernie is planning to introduce a host of new changes that would see the driver with most wins crowned champion.

Most changes will encourage overtaking and gold, silver and bronze medals would be given to the top three finishers.

All this and more in an interview on the BBC web site that's available out here.

That's my interpretation too. In theory, someone could win 5 or 6 races, not compete in the rest and still win the championship.

According to this article, "Formula One boss Bernie Ecclestone is confident his proposal for the world drivers' championship to be decided by gold medals awarded to race winners will be implemented next season."
