@strizlow800, indeed it would be, I presume many of us here would be keeping our fingers crossed when it's launched. I'd definitely be actively researching on the phone and its bugs once it's launched, just as I did with my K750 and W810.
@shreyans, I have considered a few Nokias, but I've not been swayed by them yet. My W810 is still holding up fine, despite its age.

@Miss UK, I've not bought a new phone yet. I'm happy with my trusty ol' w810 for now. If and when the W902's launched, I might just give it a shot.
have faith im sure it will come out
in the meantime you should look at Nokia or Samsungs,
alot of people here are leaving cos of stale designs and boring features

Well, I'll most probably not get the W902 when it's first launched anyway. It'll take some time for the price and firmware to stabilise. If I do have to get a new phone between now and then, it won't be an SE for sure. So which phone are you using now, Miss UK? |

So true i never buy a new model anymore from SE or Nokia. I wait a while cos people like myself dont have the means to upgrade firmware. Not yet anyway and im not very confident at doing things like that. To the everyday consumer thats hard having to put up with bugs. |

You're both right of course, and I definitely agree. I'm not one to go rushing into a new phone purchase without doing some research first. And Miss UK, you're right, I'll most probably end up sticking with my W810 for a long time to come.
I don't quite recall reading about your E65 saga, what was that about then? I was under the impression that the E-series were pretty reliable. |

Deluded have you had any probs with your W810?
the older models seem more reliable then the newer ones don't they
My E65 was a knightmare had a lot of faults,
when slid the slider open it would turn off,
the second one did that too..
I sold it had enuff of it
thankfully my N95-2 is very reliable
Sim free phones normally are though

Well, when I first bought the W810, there was a problem with receiving texts that were sent while the phone was turned off. For instance, I usually turn off my phone when I go to bed. If anyone sends me a text while it's turned off, the next morning when I woke up, I wouldn't receive it till very much later. I managed to solve this by making a call whenever I turned on my phone.
Thankfully, I sent my W810 for a firmware upgrade when I switched to my K770 and that solved the problem for good. So now my W810 is relatively stable and bug-free.
Hmm... I'm still looking forward to getting the W902 in the not too distant future. If my sources are right, it should be launched here sometime in October. So this time next year, if I'm patient enough, I might be getting the W902.

those ain't major issues then atleast the fw update fixed that
having phones that turn off is a right pain inda ass cos they take up your time by having to arrange fixing processes lol
especially with
I was lucky that I have a Nokia centre on my doorstep that takes 48hrs to repair, however the problems still kept coming so I made my mind upto sell it on lol I got my N95 dead cheap so im a happy bunny
I do like the new W980 flip phone from
ive never had a flip phone from them before it looks rather nice I think
Next year you wanna get that 902?
do you think the W810i will hold u till then

Never say never, but I'm pretty sure my W810 would be a better bet than most other phones I've had so far. Hmm... The W980 does have pretty good sound and looks good to boot. It's light and very handy. But it's more suitable for girls in my opinion, don't quote me on that though. I'll keep my fingers crossed till the W902 is launched and if there's overwhelming positive feedback, I may get it sooner. You know how rare that is these days, especially for SE. |

lol lot of people hate the W980 here
it should be cheap though it's about £269.99 to buy which is crap considering its features
keep ahold of the 810i and have a play with the 902i when it comes out,
Peterkay has one for sale atm you should ask him what it's like

You're right of course, Miss UK. I'll drop him a PM and see what he thinks about it. I recall seeing his thread but it didn't occur to me at that time. Thanks for the heads-up! |
