It's very true I've changed mine to a World 1 generic, you simply need to find the relevant files to change.

There is a website that has instructions and a link to the particular files in question.

Dunno if anyone else has encountered this or whether its just me ... My autofocus works but takes 2 or 3 tries before it will actually manage to focus clearly.

I think it depends on what kind of picture you're taking. If you're taking a landscape shot then you're more prone to have a few tries before you get the autofocus right. It doesn't happen with macro and sometimes happen when you take still-life/people shots. I think there's more room for improvement here, especially when taking photos under poor lighting where the autofocus is as good as non-existant
