Hello!
Is there any way to reply to a message without using the stylus?

No there is no way to reply to a message in FO mode without touching the screen. This is a Huge flaw for me. |

Just a quick question, when your in a voice call, can you use the side scroll wheel to adjust the volume of the speaker in both flip off/ on mode?
Thanks |

Has anyone without flip tried to use SEUS yet? At the point where you hold the C key and connect to USB, what do you press instead? Or do you have to put back the flip to use SEUS?
(I prefer to keep the flip on: Flip Closed = Phone. Flip Open = PDA.) |

I'm agreeing with you on the Flip. I thought that i would get rid of it straight away but so far have left it on.
It's a bit annoying when gettting suggestions for words in SMS but otherwise the flip keeps phone and pda functions separate!

@scroitoru
wish i had of known that the other day would have saved me a lot of hassle!!
I decided to put the flip back on to carry out the seus (five minutes after i had taken it off) and decided to leave it on until my screen protectors arrived (yesterday) so i will now try the fone with the flip off tomorrow.
It was 15 months b4 i took the flip off my p910i!!! |

Flip off, all the way, only things i find i cant do with qwerty buttons are easily done with thumb, ie replying to msgs ETC, i think this is the first p series that was really designed to b used flip off, but had a flip on it for point of sale, purely so it looks less complicated to use for a P series newcomer.
having said that i will point out that all my p phones were used flip off regardless of a few features becoming two handed, simply because i love touch screens, they are the best thiing since sliced breasts, ....er bread

FO since day 1 but I admit to the inconveniences. Without the numeric pad, the P990's a 2-handed device. Not that big an issue unless you REALLY have to be able to send text messages and emails while walking. |

i used FO a couple a days... it's sexy but not really help especially if you are a one hand user.. so i put the flip back, it's not look so good but helpful, if you like playing games, then put it back! lol |

I have been trying flip-less mode for a couple of days and find that it fits better in 's executive case. But the flip will come back on soon as I think the phone looks naked without it. With the flip I think that the P990i really is a nice looking phone. Without the flip it looks just like any other PDA

since most of you are putting the flip back on, I tried that too (I removed the flip the day I got the phone (2 mo ago).
Did not like the phone with flip on at all.
First of all, the screen is smaller, and on top of that the fonts are bigger. Not to my pleasure.
Second, in FO, I am using the Alt-Shift combo to access the menu all the time.
writting an SMS, or replying, is very easy in FO mode.
deleting sms is a breeze using the backspace and then the OK.
The keyboard is readily accessible. All touch screen functions.
Navigation is not a problem using the jog dial and the left and right arrows.
The only downside is with the Java games, that do not support stylus functions.
So my take on this is that
1) you need to get used using the keyboard shortcuts.
2) I, for one, will use the phone only with the flip off.
