*****EDIT*****
The below info is useless since it's all undone when you reboot the phone
*****EDIT*****
This one's even bigger.....You can make an enire folder of pics, audio or whatever look completely empty! Here's how-

Go into the file manager, choose the folder off pics you want to try it on(make a new one for testing), press more then attributes on that folder, untick readable and move back up to hidden(important), prees more then ok. After the user prompts minimise opere with 9 and go into the folder you just edited using your phones manager, it'll say no files in this folder!!!
Retick readable to reverse the process, don't forget to move up to hidden here as well.

@bosshogg, thanks... wonderful modifications!

Will modified Opera Mini (any version) work on the Siemens ME75? And while at it, does Siemens ME75 have the JSR-75 specification? I can't seem to find this info anywhere. Thanks again

Good news on the text limit, once you hit 450 just press more and choose next for another 450. Apparently you can do this to infinity!

No idea about that siemens phone mate sorry. Think it's x65/75 or something it runs on? Try it to see anyway.

Hey BOSSHOGG,

I tried your browser for downloading files off the net. After few initial hiccups it worked like a charm!!! Thanks a zillion!

Well, I have 4 quesitons & 1 Suggestion.

Q1. Are you the author of this modified code?

Q2. Is there a way to make the phone (in my case W800i) stop asking 1000 Read/Write permissions. Java security & stuff is good but for heavy duty usage it gets on the nerves

Q3. The download manager in the browser is fine for static links but what about the dynamic ones that are generated on the webpages?

Q4. (IMPORTANT) Can this browser be further modified to download files from sites like rapidshare.de where a link is generated dynamically after some javascript is run for a specific delay-time?

SUGGESTION

You have actually addressed a BIG PROBLEM faced by us Sony-Ericsson users . There simply arent many softwares to get various jobs done. You constantly update this thread. Thanks for that as well. But, I suggest each time you update the software, after giving the link please do mention ALL the improvements in this new version over the older ones & then mention the overall features (extra+in-built) for the browser. That would really be helpful to newbies (as once I was, or as still I am ).

If its too taxing for you in regards to the time spent, then let me know. I will have a site/blog published for you thats updated with your newest features.

My point is just this. You have turned a great piece of software into even better item. Let it be useful to its FULLEST!

Thanks!!!

===> Have a BLOG or talk about the new features n old ones on your site http://rangers.wen.ru/opera.html

Nope, wish I was lol! I just put it on a plain english site for easy access. The author is DG-SC as far as I know.

Yep, but it involves flashing your firmware, some guy in this topic poste how to. I hope this is their next change.

Q3. The download manager in the browser is fine for static links but what about the dynamic ones that are generated on the webpages?
Do you mean ones that end in .php ? If you come across those you can press 1 and choose a folder to save it in, then rename the correct extension if it didn't do so.

Q4. (IMPORTANT) Can this browser be further modified to download files from sites like rapidshare.de where a link is generated dynamically after some javascript is run for a specific delay-time?
I've never had it work on those, does my head in when I get one lol!

I tried doing that, but I end up with a page more than 1.3kb, I like to try keeping all my pages accessable by as many phones poss. Sometimes I only notice new features days later myself.

I actually built the entire site with my k750i, but my free wap has stopped so I don't mess about with it as much as i'd like to. 118 is still the latest version though.

Hey BOSSHOGG,

Thanks all the same. At least you made it into english. Cuz I ahd no intention of taking Russian clases to get thru to the menu

1.> In the new MOD version where has the ROTATE-SCREEN functionality gone? If its been given a boot then its really sad! Will it come back? #6 gives page info

2.> Please post your reply to my query to this topic.

In the menu, under tools->settings you have the option to rotate screen. So it's still there, but I can find no shortcut either.

Rotate screen shorcut is user defineable, Ext menu>Settings>Shortcuts, you can assisn it to 0,1,3,7,9 or any hash number combo from here. I posted this info in this topic ages ago. You can also assign the utility menu to any these from here.

Press 7 to clear the cache regularly, i'd say every 20 pages or so, much more regular if you have images enabled.

The hacked version 'works' on my Z520a but the File Manager does not. Once File Manager is clicked it will go to a blank folder.

Anything I am doing wrong or it won't work regardless?
